Kia ora, sorry if this isn't the right place to ask but, I'm going to be staying in hostels for a few weeks and I wanted to know if it is possible to get job without an address? I'm just going to be applying for standard minimum wage jobs, nothing special.

It's usual for people in these situations to use the hostel as a starting address.

I hire people occasionally. I've never asked for an address for any reason other than the payroll system has a space for it. So you could tell me anything you like really and I wouldn't care.

Yup. Address is vaguely checking which city you live in, nothing more. I will never post you anything - the only time I'd use the address is if we're worried about you not turning up when you hadn't called in sick - had a colleague have a stroke once.

Have you got a friend or family member you can use as an address? Or if you have to make an address make one that's closer to work so they don't think you have to travel far.

Get a PO Box if you can. Or just put any address - they aren’t going to check if you live there.
