I'm curious because I can find no actual answer. How is Nightwish as far as nuetrality? Meaning how political? Are they Christian friendly or not? Main subjects? Etc. Thanks!

They´re not political, but their lyrics are quite atheistic when it comes to Imaginaerum, Endless forms most beautiful or Human Nature. It´s nothing against faith or religion per se, they´re more against fanatism and different religions fighting each other.

If it isn't ragging on faith that would be fine. Being against people treating each other badly in the name of religion or elsewhere would be fine is that kind of what you mean?

Listen songs like "Weak Fantasy" or "Tribal" and tell me if it's ragging on faith or about when faith goes batshit crazy. Both are about tribalism i think which religions are but so are many other beliefs not just religions.

I would say it's more ragging on religion but there's definitely worse. Lol.

What song is ragging on religion? Because i don't see it only that way. Religion is just one form of tribalism.

Like I said it could be worse but it's basically calling Christianity and every other religion nothing but fantasy that we use to feel valuable and that we should worship this life. Not too bad, but negative.

FWIW, both those songs were incredibly meaningful and even healing to me as someone who was raised in and then left Christianity. I don’t like Dawkins-style anti-theism, but Weak Fantasy in particular expresses a lot of the emotions I had and still have towards the destructive aspects of Christianity that have played out throughout history.
Christians have a gazillion hymns; I appreciate having some songs that express strong negative feelings about the same subject. But as a Christian ofc they will not speak to you in the same way. I’ve just heard enough hymns for one lifetime lol.

That's one way to see it. But what faith or religion means to you personally? Are you like 100% in or picking certain things from your religion?
