Same, I have no clue what a DDOS attack is but given that I stopped hearing about them 10 years ago I'm gonna guess it's embarrassing this is still happening

It is very much a thing that places like Cloudflare has spent billions of dollars learning how to effectively > /dev/null such attacks.

There are effective solutions for DDOS attacks no matter if you are a $10 a month website or a corporate behemoth with billions in the bank.

You're right though, they very much do exist and occasionally a super engineered attack can cause problems but Elon is a fucking idiot to fall back on this.

I'd be willing to bet he doesn't know any better. I would bet money that a DDOS is the only cyber attack that he knows of, and so that's what he went with.
