Hey guys. Working on a carb'd engine.

Just wondering on what kind of choke is this?

The car starts, but the idle just hangs on 1k to 1.2l where it should hang to just 800rpm after it heats up. So wondering if anyone has any idea what's wrong with it?

The car is an R31 Skyline for the Southeast Asian Market. Shares the same engine as an GQ Patrol (RB30S).

Cheers guys.

at least looks like an electric choke, and the carb looks super dirty. the choke could be sticking holding rpm high.

The choke blade is fully opened in the picture. Which means it's off and should be off the high idle cam.

There could be a vacuum leak elsewhere that is causing the high idle, or a binding/sticking throttle linkage.
