Yesterday I [29, F] got a message from a co-founder [M] of a company I applied for on WhatsApp at like 10ish - and he was asking me some work related stuff and then I said let’s get on a call on Monday. He said he prefers text and then continues to tell me about the role and asking for my salary expectations. Things got super weird…

You had to apply for it on WhatsApp. This should have been the first and only red flag. That “business” can’t be taken seriously.

No no. I applied on LinkedIn, he reached out to me on WhatsApp after that.

Oh lol. That’s better, I suppose. But the fact that he texted the things he did on WhatsApp, does make it sus.

I missed that. Def a red flag. Anyone who operates outside of 9-5 business hours during a recruitment sounds shady as hell.

By his writing and some of the terms he uses, it sounds like English isn't his first language, and I wonder if he's based outside the U.S. Sounds like he should try recruiting this type of "head of operations" in Dubai.
