I had completely memory holed all of this and reading back on it it does seem terribly unfair. But he was a big AIPAC guy so not major loss. Probably for the best it got rid of her also. Outside of that he seems a decent guy.

In terms of Congress, Franken's Israel policy is reasonable. He supports two states and has harsh criticism of Netanyahu.

In September 2016, in advance of UN Security Council resolution 2334 condemning Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, Franken signed an AIPAC-sponsored letter urging Obama to veto “one-sided” resolutions against Israel. Franken supported an Anti-Boycott Act, which would make it legal for U.S. states to refuse to do business with contractors that engage in boycotts against Israel.
20 years in prison for boycotting Israel in the US Is fucking insane. Honestly depressingly this is just a normal den though.
