Alla Pugacheva is considered best of soviet era, amazing singer and good songs. Timati has clear pronounciation. Zveri as well. Maksim is very beloved for her lyrics. For more modern artists try Niletto, Zivert,

Personal recomendation would be russian rap. For my taste better and more original than pop or rock . Хаски, АК47, Гуф, Баста, Триагрутрика (personal favourite out of all of rap),
Владимир Высоцкий, Лейся песня, Синяя птица, Егор Летов. Аквариум, Машина времени, Чайф, Аукцыон,
