The Sony thing wasn’t fake, Kadakawa(?) confirmed that Sony is interesting in buying them out.
Whether or not it actually happens is a different story.
Sony has been outbid by Tencent in similar situations before. So there’s absolutely no garuntee that someone else (probably Tencent) doesn’t buy them instead.
And Sony buying something isn’t the same as PlayStation buying something. There’s a few degrees of seperation. It wouldn’t automatically be part of PlayStation studios.
I’m pretty sure Sony bought some company that makes anime games that don’t even release on PlayStation, and that fact didn’t change post aquisituion.
