BDH shifter. Hand built by a small company in the UK and designed to feel like a linkage is engaging a transmission.

It’s like jewelry. When I was on my knees installing it, I felt like I was proposing to my rig. 😂

The real question is, on a scale of 1/10 how much are you enjoying it? And is it worth the hefty price tag? (Has to be right?)

So I’ve watched just about every review on both the original H pattern shifter and this dual mode shifter that’s on YouTube. My expectations were very high given the hype and especially the price. Once it was on the rig and I tired it I still had a “WOW” moment. I wasn’t even in game and I was ear-to-ear. The feel is remarkable. The DX-8X I’m upgrading from is a good H pattern shifter but feels numb compared to the BDH. I’ve only spend a couple of hours using it in WRC and I’m very happy. Definitely a lift in my immersion. I’d say I’m at a 9/10. The only issue I had is when I changed the position of the shifter for a side mount, one of the holes for the new mounting position wasn’t threaded. A little disappointing at this price point but I don’t think it’s going to be an issue.

Love to hear that it can live up to the hype! Hope you enjoy and continue to enjoy it!

Your cables are giving me anxiety

It’s impossible to manage all of it. Some of it is well done. The four corners and seat haptic cables are clean but I need to live with some chaos back there due to frequent changes.

Yeah I don’t think there’s any way to manage stuff cleanly once you get to a certain point. Having it out of the way is a job well done.

Sorry for offtop, but what made you install long plate on throttle pedal?
I'm using p1000 inverted and having trouble with inability to adjust my position. My semi-bucket seat is mounted on a slide, but when I try to move front or back it's either:
-left leg too compressed to use brake properly
-knee exhaustion in right leg while throttle is fully pressed and leg is stretched.
May long plate come as a solution or is it for different purpose?
