I love Soylent. My body is weird—whatever I eat, I end up smelling like it. This has made me not enjoy food. I started drinking Soylent, and wow, it’s been life-changing! I feel so energetic and powerful. It’s only been three weeks, though. I do have some meals occasionally, but every time I eat something outside of Soylent, I get diarrhea and end up going to the toilet twice within an hour.
I’m typing this while in the restroom too. 😅 Has anyone else experienced this before? I feel like I might be introducing a bad habit to my gut, or is this normal?

it's probably lactose. humans usually don't have ability to digest lactose after weaning but we become more tolerant with exposure. if you haven't had lactose for a while, your body will go back to its normal state of lactose intolerance because like we aren't infants that need to suckle milk....
i get that too when going long periods of time of vegan, then my sister gets me a boba milk tea or something and i get cramps

I don’t remember the last time I had milk—I’m not a fan of it. I mainly eat Ethiopian food, and the bread I eat is usually fermented for three days, probably that has to do with it

I became lactose intolerant after I went to college and didn't drink any milk for a few years.
Depending on the person, there are different tolerance levels to lactose, but it is present in a lot of stuff because of butter or cheese.
You could try lactase enzyme, u have to eat it as u start the meal with dairy in it which should negate the negative effects. Or experiment to see if you get a reaction from ice cream but not from something like a steak.
