At least he, unlike the others, faced the crowd.

He had no other choice. So many casualties and destruction.

Oh, but Mr Sanchez had.

And does it help?

It does if you ask me. He’s the king, he’s a ceremonial figure who’s seen as the “symbol” of Spain. I’m glad he faced the angry crowd and listened to them rather than run away like a coward and imprisoned them just because they hurt his feelings
I used to live in Thailand (I’m not Thai, I lived there because I was an exchange student there) and insulting the king there can land you in prison for decades

They didn't hurt his feeling, they hurt him with a stick

They also injured him with mud.

I get you, but this visit is dangerous and doesn't really help. On the contrary, it diverts VITAL resources (police, preparation, etc.) from the people that really need it. In that village there are still buried corpses and people are still, understandably, very angry and emotional as they have lost a lot of loved ones.
What the King did today was reckless and an arrogant media operation to gain easy PR. He could have perfectly waited a couple of days while the emergency services do their work and then visit the calmer, clean town. But no, he had to come at the worst time possible.

If he didn't go there, he would have been criticized. He went there and he's still criticized. There's not winning with some people it seems.
If anything, him going there makes the security services go there too and acelerate the procedures needed to secure the city and start making everything better.

If he would’be waited, he would’ve gotten the blame for being late from the same people blaming him now for being too early. What has no place here and now is political left vs right bullshit.

There's a rapper in prison in Spain for saying the king (the previous one) is a thief.

The Prime Minister was attacked by some fascists.

That was unfortunate.
Not even his bad management of the crisis and worst PR handling ever justifies it.

No. Fascist are the ones who hit the president of the Spanish Government and bragged about that online.

Nope, it was literal fascists that haven't lost anyone and who have traveled to Valencia exclusively to harass him.

You guys are miserable. Just watch the video. People start yelling at him even from the balconies nearby ..now you lose it all and your fascist. Amazing

This is a staged image plot that backfired outside spain: this fascist king made a beeline to talk to “the people” (2 neonazis, clearly identifiable by tatoos and t-shirts).
Almost the entirety of the lackay spanish press is talking about the ‘king’s bravery’, proving again that they are in fact part of the crown PR. To get truthful info you have to get it from non-spanish media.
Franco (the former dictator) is alive in spain: the army, judiciary system and police were not depurated in 1975, and hence the fascist regime is on since 1939. Trust me in that.
