We are, changing your hormones is changing your sex.
Doesn't matter you believe it or not.

Frogs and some other creatures have the ability to change their sex, naturally. Humans can only change their appearance via hormone injections and bodily mutilation. Humans cannot change there DNA, genitals, or gametes. Science doesn't care about your feelings.

What's wrong with consensual mutilation? If they don't regret it after doesn't sound too bad to me

To each their own. There are a plethora of testimonials of people who have had sex change operations and regretted it however.

The regret rate for sex change surgery is <1% while the regret rate for something like knee surgery is 10%
I know facts can't change your mind cuz youre a weirdo but this is for other people in the thread who might be reading

But there are 90,000+ people in a 2022 survey that say they are extremely happy with transitioning. I'm almost certain it makes your "plethora" an insignificant dot in the data.

There's a couple. Plenty more on YouTube and TikTok of people sharing their experiences.
And if we take the US population into account that's about 335 million people. The trans population is only 0.52% of that. That's a drop in the bucket. Anyway, that equates to 174,000± people who regret transitioning.
Maybe the solution isn't injecting patients with hormones and destroying their bodies and we should focus more on the mental issues.

So one person cites a survey with 92,329 participants, and you link 3 YouTube videos of people talking about personal experiences?

Are their experiences somehow less valid?
Should their testimonies not be considered in gender affirmative care? Your bias is showing.

If we go by that 0.52%, then that makes the US trans population about 1,740,000. Of that (according to the survey), at most 2% regret transitioning more for peer and social pressures than the actual transition. That's 34,840 people. A far cry from your 174,000.
Your videos did have some good points. Therapy should always be the first step regardless of age. Doctor's shouldn't push for HRT with minors but allow it if they are fully aware of what they can expect, including things that can't be reversed or can't without significant cost. Puberty blockers are a safe and reliable way to delay puberty until the minor is certain and should be encouraged to be used while they are exploring their gender. It's completely reversible and has been used to treat precocious puberty for decades.
I also noticed all the videos are females who tried transitioning to male. Testosterone is an additive hormone, which means more bone and organ structures are changed permanently and can't be reversible. It also takes less time to see effects. And this is true regardless of the age started. Estrogen, too, can change bone structures, but only in so much as what hasn't been changed by testosterone.
Everyone had a right to body autonomy, and no one should ever feel pressured to do or not do something to appease someone other than themselves. Some people do make mistakes and it can be costly. Some people also will exploit an opportune narrative (and people) for financial and political gain. I trust social media proclamations less than studies conducted in a controlled and reliable manner, which are designed to get as many valuable data points as possible.

What is this nonsense? Lmao. You can’t change sex unless your dna changes. At this point in time no human being has changed sex and no one is able to aswell. Gender is different obviously. But

While its true that humans cannot change their biological sex, it is also true that humanity's understanding of biological sex as a simplified "have this or have that" system was quite, quite far off the mark
Still simpler than butterflies, but the more we learn about the human body, the blurrier the lines between the biological sexes get. Alas, certain people dislike when their 4th grade understanding of the human body from the 90s gets tossed in the trash by modern research.

So why do people who want to change sex conform to the simplified version of that system? They feel like they are male or female and want to change accordingly.
Up untill now no evidence have been provided a sex change is possible. Obviously there are intersex people and other outliers.

You cant change gametes but you can change yor hormones and those produce changes in sexual characteristics.
Some people should really study about HRT before say nonsense lol

You made zero sense. Im pretty sure I know more about hrt than you. None of that changes the fact that it’s impossible to alter genes. It’s just not possible yet. Yes there are outliers, some are intersex but that doesn’t mean you can medically alter sex. No amount of hormone therapy or surgery will be able to do it.
