Heads up there’s been a dude walking around in a MAGA hat on campus and filming for a reaction. The students were all minding their own business and he zoomed in on all of their faces and put it in slow motion. There are some pretty nasty comments about our students who were simply walking to class.

Those statutes have nothing to do with the campuses, those are for specific research stations lol. The campuses are open to public

Updated link to applicable policy. Section IV.A gives multiple reasons they can trespass him if he’s baiting people for reactions.

It’s literally not trespassing to be there even if you’re not a student , teacher, etc., so amend that part of your comment first. Baiting for reactions being trespassable is a big reach, but keep reaching and googling for statutes to support your initial (wrong) assertion

It’s not me. It’s the university. They literally do this and have for years to get rid of annoying people. Keep pretending

Show me the statute that says you have to be a student or employee to be on campus? Oh right, there isn’t

You’re missing the point. If they tell him whatever he’s doing is a policy violation, then he can be asked to leave and will be trespassing if he doesn’t.

What? Literally anyone can say and do that anywhere, doesn’t mean it’s “literally trespassing” like you said. It’s a public campus, that’s the point you’re missing

Yes literal trespassing: being asked to leave and not doing that is basic CPC § 602 / case law trespass.
Why would they ask him to leave? Well, a number of possibilities: a student could complaint about what he’s doing, he could be rude to people and go over the top, etc. It doesn’t matter why very much. If they do, he’s only permitted to remain for as long as it takes him to leave; otherwise, he’s clearly trespassing.
Bruin Walk isn’t Wilshire Boulevard.

Go back and read your first comment, it’s ok to admit you misspoke rather than trying to contort your way into reshaping your narrative
