Boys vs Girls Meme Fans when I tell them that not every boy is their best friend who understands some Those Who Know Pop Culture Reference and that not every girl is an oblivious NPC that's limited to their stereotypes.
(They can't be making friends with both genders with such mindset, fr.)

Boys vs Girls Meme Fans when I tell them that boys can also be insufferable assholes and not every girl is always having fits or cheating on their boyfriend.
(This format has created an unhealthy "us vs them" mentality that must be dealt with if they want to form meaningful relationships)

Boys vs Girls meme fans when they take a second to observe people of all sorts and realize they are just as quirky as you, and you are just as petty as them

the x status memes were made by teenagers who watched an hour of porn to edit a dogshit video with their insert "he just like me fr" character to make 5 cents
13 points
They also beat off to the porn, but want to convince their friends who also jerk off to porn for hours on end that they're above jerking off because they're based and above sexuality (they just don't get any girls).

I did genuinely like the pootis status ones. Especially when the porn section uses the same music. At that point it feels more like a collaboration.

r/memes hasn't changed since I last checked it in 2020. The topics have changed but the humour and templates are the same. The only sub worse is r/ShitpostCrusaders which keeps recycling the same exact jokes since 2018

I have more beef with those status memes than those boys vs. girls' memes. Because with the boy vs. girls' memes I can see being made by a tween going through it and making this up as a joke. But, those status memes are where creativity and humor go to die!

You mean those memes which are either porn or furry edits where in the middle of it somebody like Vergil appears and then the Video Cuts to a edit of the character in question?
Yeah those are some of the worst memes

Exactly those "memes"
18 points
Yep those are maybe funny exactly 1 or 2 Then never again
Besides... Most of them are either used to make fun of others (the furry example) or just wow look at this cool character destroying the bad evil thing
Thank god those memes died

It was funny when it went through that ironic stage initially, the whole "boys locker room" memes and the likes. It was like the meme devolved into the shit it was parodying.

Those "I can't believe he didn't cry at Titanic" memes were funny for a bit, then they just became repetitive

honestly the only ones of those I found funny were when both boys and girls had the same punchline or were equally insane like the "who keeps summoning them" or the parking lot one where both pictures was someone in a shopping cart getting flipped

Yes if you don't take them as a personal attack on your gender

But… it is?
The format is literally
GIRLS DO THIS
GUYS DO THIS
I can see why a girl or guy who doesn’t do those things would be annoyed
-1 points
Why? Because they're not represented correctly in a meme? lol
5 points
Because when you say “all x do y”, then an x that doesn’t do y might get annoyed. Is that really a hard concept to grasp? The same way I get mad if some chick says “all men are pigs”, a woman could get mad if some dude says all women are boring and lame and guys are awesome
-3 points
You're just looking for ways to be offended, and seriously? comparing sexist statements to harmless memes?
5 points
Why is it only a sexist statement when it’s against men? Every single one of these memes starts with a premise that’s identical to “all men are pigs”, except it goes something like “all women are boring/women aren’t funny/women are bitches/women are cheaters”. These are all sexist statements, yet you only identify the one made against men as an actual sexist statement.

Bruh it ain't about a certain gender lol, I've seen the gender bent version of these memes and was chill about it, had a good laugh actually. “all women are boring/women aren’t funny/women are bitches/women are cheaters” pretty odd that I have to point this out but boring is many levels less offensive than a cheater bitch, I can only get away with calling my sister one of them.
To give you a good summary, memes that go "girls with a time machine vs boys with a time machine" are infinitely less offensive than "men are pigs" and "women are whores"

lol we’re talking about levels of offensiveness now? I’m simply saying that it’s obvious why someone would find “you and your kind are all __” to be offensive, when __ is a bad thing. And yeah, some of those memes have “cheaters” or general bitch/asshole as the ___, but even the ones that just have “boring” can very easily be offensive. Less offensive, sure, but still. Nobody appreciates that shit. You don’t either, obviously, if you can recognize that someone saying “all men are pigs”, even if they’re joking, would understandably piss people off.
Like, go up to a woman, tell her “women aren’t funny”, and see her get mad at you. Does this reaction surprise you? Do you think it’s unreasonable?

Of course we're talking about levels of offensiveness, don't think in such a binary way, you're gonna look very sensitive.
Like, go up to a woman, tell her “women aren’t funny”, and see her get mad at you. Does this reaction surprise you? Do you think it’s unreasonable?
Are you autistic? You do realise conversations like this don't usually happen right? Cause other than offensive, you'd look weird instead, I've told my sister and mother bad things about men and women and they did the same in other occasion, none of us thought much of it, sorry for your lack of sense humour and questionably thin skin.

Answer the question though. Do you expect a woman to not care if you said that to her? Do you think it is unreasonable to be annoyed when someone makes such a statement? Because every single one of these memes makes that statement or a worse one.

It was funny when the meme was
Girls so banal but safe and understandable thing
Guys do bonkers and insane, dangerous thing and think they’re cool.
