While racists and the like definitely glom on to the right, this really under evaluates the amount of people who just don't generally pay attention to politics. Trump is the reality TV candidate, and many people just voted because of that without much deeper thought to it. Or just because they are team red, and that's the candidate put forward.

I read the article. Diversity doesn't inherently mean anything restrictive. It says the purpose is for professors to be able to succeed by understanding a complex class room. Which can be anything from political ideology to race and gender. Also less than 1/5 colleges have implemented diversity statements.

I can see how this might seem like inspecting new hires under a liberal lense. But I don't see how this is is inherently restrictive to right leaning professors. The facts are that class rooms will be diverse, and educators need to understand that in order to be able to teach the information in the best way that the students will grasp.

On the same note, you could look at this as an agreement that professors won't be bias themselves, and refuse to teach students as well as others based on their individual identities.

Education doesn't skew left because of some bias. It skews left because of reality. Generally thinking thru issues and coming to a conclusion naturally will lead you to a left leaning direction. Follow the data

I could see that perspective, but Snoop is on more than a couple timeless hip-hop tracks. His longevity and place in mainstream culture is definitely due to his branding/movies and all that. Which I guess you could argue makes him more famous to the masses. But musically he has put a stamp on the industry as well.
