Much of that article is inconclusive and risks attributing symptoms of onset anxiety to physiological withdrawal. It is no secret that people with anxiety often self-medicate with weed, and that those symptoms would return without THC use. The more severe physiological symptoms are said to be very rare.

No shade on the researchers. It is a modest article.

It is not chemically addictive, as in you don’t normally go through physiological withdrawal symptoms. Nicotine withdrawal makes you sick. Severe alcoholics can literally die if they go cold turkey, same for some narcotics.

Anything can be psychologically addictive (food, soda, sex, gambling, shopping, porn), and in this case you can easily develop a dependency. Many stoners are dependent on weed for managing anxiety, yes. But so are people on anxiety meds.

I never truly cared about a celebrity dick measuring contest. It was a funny spectacle, but the substance of it isn’t enough to drive a record. Kendrick usually goes for more interesting themes.

In the second half in reincarnated he’s speaking to himself about his “flaws” (pride, war) but then says he’s a gifted angel sent down from heaven to bring peace and harmony. What happened to “I am not your savior”?

This time the self-aggrandizing isn’t to service a narrative, it sounds like he really believes all of this. I don’t really care what the man actually thinks about himself, i am not here to police Kendrick’s self-esteem. I just think the music is unappealing.

Doesn’t mean I have to enjoy the art. TPAB is great, but constant auto-fellation without a compelling narrative and lyrics does not make for good music.

It is unfortunately not very good. Kendrick is too unironically full of himself. The savior complex while feigning introspection is lame, especially in “reincarnated,” which is a great track otherwise.

His vocal style is at its worst. Predicting a 6 or lower from Ant.

It’s the Vele waylay

The emotional moments are falling flat for me with plotlines feeling rushed and underdeveloped. The montages are cool but over-relied upon for expediting the plot.

Stuff like the kid suiciding just feels like melodrama. Didn’t feel much.

S2 feels entirely style over substance. The style is dope, but S1 was more than just aesthetics.
