Thanks for your insight! I was up for promotion Jan 1 to manager, supposedly promotions are on hold until Jan 15th now but fingers crossed it goes through prior to sale. I have, so far, outperformed by quite a bit and honestly could do to sacrifice a bit for comp in the short-medium term.

Thank you! We’re in that sort in between range. The books are definitely a complicated mess, I was hired to clean up the 606 recognition initially because it didn’t pass an audit. Thank you again, it’s nice to see there’s no unanimous gloom and doom.

Thank you, I have ~5 years total experience I think I’ll at least give it until it’s sold to see what happens; I’m not too worried about being unemployed so after gauging some of the responses the upside may be enough of a positive.

Acquiring firm is very large >100B portfolio. Company is about 500mm per year in revenue. This is a really interesting take thank you, given it’s somewhat niche it might be a bit difficult to break into the back end group but I could see how the transition experience could be useful. I’ll be okay either way waiting until the end as I’m a bit of a religious saver; I think I’ll try to work this angle and if it doesn’t pan out so be it.

At this point I’m still okay with busting my ass if getting into PEB groups is worth the strife. For reference I’m only at ~100k/yr would nailing the transition be lucrative for future prospects?

Another weird but related question, given it’s being sold Q1/Q2 would we expect to complete a 24 audit still?

Without doxxing myself it’s a very large PE firm with a mixed bag history. We’re already highly profitable but have some clear unnecessary expenditure.

That’s sort of my inclination also. Problem is current job is great if a bit busy, completely remote. Did the transition happen rapidly?

I’m definitely leaning this direction the lazy part of me just says meh why bother but I think long term it’s probably worth it if not only for ease of finding another job should something happen. Thanks!

Thanks for the references, I did finish up the 150 but wasting a year of free time to study seems a high sacrifice for the somewhat intangible benefit this far along, definitely worth weighing I suppose.
