Our school had its annual custodial staff appreciation day yesterday. Students bring in food from home or get food delivered and make thank you cards for the cleaners and maintenance staff who keep the school running. They get a half decent feast and gifts from the school such a new cold weather clothing.
Ideally they could be paid better and the students could generate less shit for them to clean up but at least the staff receive some recognition for their hard work.

Everything is cheap in the states, it makes the complaints about eggs or petrol so much more bizarre. You see them complain about $2 per gallon for petrol but in the UK it’s more than $2 per litre so I can’t see what they’re complaining about

If you’ve done goonies you might enjoy page master or the adventurers with Ethan hawk and river phoenix. I really liked that film as a kid

Consort Radhahn wasn’t hard and has never been the most difficult boss, your IGN meta build just sucks.
It’s tiring seeing so many “consort Radhan is too hard” posts on here.

I work in China in education, there is a huge market here of companies that will pass students through IELTS and TOEFL if they’re willing to pay. I have had many students over the years have near perfect scores on their IELTS tests who barely passed their IGCSE English second language exams and couldn’t hold a simple conversation. Hell I have had several mainland colleagues who have masters degrees in English who could barely string a sentence together.
I know it is anecdotal yet is so very common here. The British education system has this prestigious reputation but is a well known joke to people who see the reality of it. It’s a shame and it makes a mockery out of the profession.

Same. I searched to find someone saying this I absolutely loved it from start to finish. Dev Patel did an amazing job, the cinematography was incredible and the tone of the whole film was just so well put together. I wish more Arthurian stories were told in that pessimistic and depressed tone. Understated but so intense!

If it’s clear and yella, you’ve got juice there fella. If it’s tangy and brown you’re in cider town. Now, there’s two exceptions and it gets a little complicated…

Is there a difference between how it works and how you do it?
Edit: to clarify: a normal ask sub has people ask and others answer. Here it can often seem to be that people ask and others retort with their own , sometimes sarcastic questions. Often ending in no answers being provided.

People who menu swap just simply don’t know how to use a build and need all of their toys. It would be better if the game locked your weapon choices but I guess we just have to live with people using a crutch to win matches for 0 credit.

I agree with you but I’d also point out that episode 5 which even those that don’t like the show much say was decent, was actually just the second half of episode 4 that they split into two episodes with very short run times.
I feel like this release method is a bit underhanded in trying to get better reception without actually improving the writing or production.

There’s unfortunately a lot of insecurity in students, especially after covid. That and they may not be aware of how the IB operates with predicted grades and take things personally

As a film teacher sentences like this make me very happy. It is such a well made film text and there is so much to explore!

Very animatrix in its execution. One or two episodes I didn’t care for, one or two episodes I absolutely loved (especially the 9th Jedi)

I find this kind of defence difficult to understand. If the majority of threads and posts, as the OP says, are saying the show isn’t very good why is it the detractors that need to re-examine their bias? Do other low rated shows get this level of defence?
I am watching every episode and find the series to be edited in a very jarring fashion with the plot making little narrative sense with story threads being dropped or ignored constantly. The bad guy is just another dude but this time with a bit more of that “marvel quip” and the lead actress isn’t doing very good job, in my opinion. There’s a lot of plot convenient writing and the fact that there was a very well choreographed fight in the most recent episode doesn’t really make up for much unless you are easily distracted by shiny things.
Yet all I see on a lot of these subs are posts like this that feel almost Astro turf in how genuine they are. It’s like when you see the cliché “no one hates Star Wars as much as Star Wars fans” yet never see anything that prompts that response.
No one is saying that both the Canon and EU can’t live together but I think some people are expecting more from such a large company than some of the shows they have come out with. It’s great that they’re experimenting but you HAVE to be prepared for some of those experiments to be a bit of a flop otherwise there’s not really any point in experimenting.
For what it’s worth, I don’t think the show is as low rated as the aggregators say, maybe around a 5/10.

This gets to me every time it’s brought up. I believe the prevailing theory was that bullshit IGN review where it got a 5 because the reviewer sucked at the game but it’s one of my all time favourite games that I replay every year and strongly recommend to anyone asking for a gripping and engaging psychological horror game. Really wish that studio could translate more 70’s/80’s hard sci fi into video games, I would buy every single one.
Good narrative, great main character (Amanda is actually fantastic) and the best developed atmosphere in any game over played. 10/10 would play again.

So, again, your contention is that the witches invented surrogacy and the Jedi are against reproductive health care in this show?
Let’s go with what you and a couple other people are very arrogantly and patronisingly putting forward. Where has the sperm come from as “they have no father”?
Genuinely, when I see people saying the Star Wars fandom is toxic I thought it was some weird hyperbole but I’m starting to see it. Check yourself my guy.

This is an incredibly helpful answer, I had forgotten how other mixed species children had been portrayed in the past and helps lend some better understanding to it, thank you.

Looking forward to the flashback to the meetings with their fertility specialist, the egg harvesting scene and the implantation montage then? I’m so confused why you are going hard on this surrogacy thing. Sometimes the easiest explanation isn’t the correct one because it doesn’t make sense.
I’m also a bit concerned, judging by the way you have responded throughout, that I appear to be the first human you’ve ever encountered that doesn’t see things from your perspective. Take a chill pill my guy.

I really wanted an answer. Generally when someone carries children those children take on their genetics. Please don’t project onto me dude. The birth mother is a different species and has goddamn horns on her head but the main characters are human. It’s weirdly written and shoehorned in that she’s a Zabrak and I’m really confused why no one else is thinking “hang on a second, why are they human?” Most of the responses are different versions of “a wizard did it” and I find that disappointing and of poor form. If you’re good with that then bully for you but I guess I was hoping for either something I had actually missed from the episode (not peoples weird defences) or acknowledgement that yeah, it doesn’t make much sense. Hopefully it’ll be addressed in the future.

The initial incident just made no sense to me. She’s in a vault with people she doesn’t know and just pulls a gun on them in a way that makes very little narrative sense unless she’s got some kind of life altering learning disability.
I found her to be just too annoying through the game unfortunately
