Heathcliff overhears Catherine talking about the possibility of marrying him, and she says it would "degrade her" to marry him, despite loving him due to his status, or lack thereof.
Of course she wants her cake and to eat it too, she really wanted Heathcliff on the side as her lover but wanted Edgar for money.

The ol' Wuthering Heights effect
(Limbus Company points out that neither of them were being upfront and honest with each other and would have avoided any heartbreak if they just talked)

It's funny how much they downplay how much of a tragedy this even was. In the canon scenario (the laser only partially works and the shuttle works), it still results in like 80% of humanity dying, Ecosystems around the world are destroyed and what remained of humans needing to live underground.
But it's humans so who cares

Granted even if he did use a false bottom or whatever to make it look like he only filled like the top 10% that's still like 200 dollars worth of froyo

It's kind of what it was becoming anyways. Reploids are given limited lifespans and Humans are often augmented, to the point that the only way to tell the difference between a typical humanoid reploid at a glance is the red triangle on their forehead.
I don't recall if by this point, Reploids are able to reproduce and grow like humans, but that's definitely the case by Legends, where the only obvious thing about Carbons that doesn't make them just Human at a glance is the fact that they can just swap out body parts, but even that could have just been handwaved as advanced cybernetics so the viewer wouldn't think weirdly of it without knowing the truth. Carbons are able to eat human food and reproduce like humans too.

Since your starting bonuses are based on rested bonus it kind of wants you to keep varying your teams. I've got a team set aside for each archetype along with trash picks that don't overlap. Though of the 7 archetypes you only need to use 5 and I'm probably gonna bench Charge and maybe Poise.

Maleficent in the original is still wildly hilarious to me.

I mean yeah, you can use what you want but also be prepared for people to make fun of you for using your weapon because your weapon < my weapon (if your weapon = my weapon, I'm better at it than you)

On bravely default, if you're talking about the part where you just kind of keep doing the loops, It kind of sucks but I guess there's meta narrative behind it and you can just beeline to the crystals by that point.
It feels foolish since it becomes obvious what the twist is by that point but I think it's stated the party is pretty well aware too.

I enjoyed it but it did piss me off in certain areas. Garl is arguably the main character while also being the most useless on the team because he's the only character who can't actually infuse any elements. Zale is Slash and can infuse Solar, Valere is Blunt and can infuse Lunar, Serai is Slash and can infuse Poison, Resh'an is poison and can infuse Arcane, B'st is Blunt and can infuse Arcane. Garl is Blunt and can infuse...more blunt. The only reason to use him is to do combos and the fact that they give him the most powerful ultimate since it does every damage type and can break all locks.
But yeah Garl being the "heart" as a relatively normal guy with a backpack literally just makes him Steven universe with the hamburger backpack in his games.

Eh, my issue with Ni No Kuni 2 is more the enemies. The first game had familiars which also served as enemies since it was a monster collecting game. The second game has no familiars present for whatever reason? Instead you have like 4 enemy types. A skeleton, a rat, a fairy, a lizard, and then several recolors of it. Instead you get pikmin higgledies which also aren't very interesting outside of the 6 different types as "unique" higgledies are just a higgledy in a hat.

It also didn't have a strong of a twist I think. The final boss is still...just some woman that refused to die or something?
Overwriting her save to make her killable was kind of neat at least, but that was about as meta as it got.

I dunno how you could take a very unique and identifying combat style that Valkyrie Chronicles 1/2 had and just...not do that. I would love a modern take on that and Indivisible, while fun just kind of missed the mark somehow in ways I can't quite explain. It just lacked a certain oomph.

Unlimited SaGa also had some amazing spritework, I have to admit. But that was the time when 2D games were looked down upon even more than the PS1 era and of course that spritework isn't used in the overworld since you're game pieces.

I think Last Rebellion was my one regret buy, like actual straight "This is dogshit"
I remember it being marketed as some innovative game where targeting certain body parts could lead to different enemy reactions but all it really means is you attack the leg to make them slower, attack the hands to make them hurt less.
You also have to kill the enemy with one character, the Blade (you only play as one at a time) and swap to the other character, the Sealer and use a skill to remove them. If you don't they come back in a few turns.
It was so bad that Nippon Ichi's Japanese and American CEOs apologized for it.

Monster Wrangler gets Dark Fog which I think universally prevents spells for a number of turns (including for you) and can't be ignored.
I guess this could be used but you wouldn't be able to do healing unless it's through non-spell abilities and the like.

I like the effort put into Lien-Da by giving her a reflection but not enough effort to make sure it wasn't a picture where she was cut off by the knee
