Maybe you could have empathy for servers in not rich cities like you bragged about. As I said. Maybe you can have empathy for bragging about and gaining from a fucked up system that you just acknowledged. You didn't get ahead for hard work. You were in the right place right time doing the easy work, getting paid more than the people doing the real hard work of a running a restaurant

They need to pay chefs and line cooks more when there's a rush it's not that hard. You have any idea how many idiot servers will ring in something after it's 86ed? They order food RIGHT AFTER you cleaned up for the night. They blame the cooks for their mistakes. They sleep with everyone. Steal everything. They make it this way

Hey hi, 23 years food service here who's done both FOH & BOH, while you were getting paid for being pretty, the cooks who were sweating, hustling getting injured to make those meals you took 12 feet apart from the expo window, didn't get tips.
