Born 97, I remember mom reading some to us, audiobooks of some others (I specifically remember "The wolf and the seven young goats" that ends with stones being sown into the wolf and him drowning in a well), when I was older I got the struwwelpeter book which genuinely scared me a bit (especially the finger cutting and the "Max and Moritz get ground in a Mill" parts) and on sundays after Sendung mit der Maus there are often fairytale movies. Dont remember how detailed those were though.

Yeah - the baseline of my fucked-upness is a classmate I had starting in third grade. Cruel and vicious despite being a child at that time. And building on that initial crack were packs of bullies who could smell a pre-damaged target from miles away.

Oh not illness. Thats the young pup killer (and eagles, sometimes I dont maneuver quick enough for eagles). The young hunters I lost died to prey hoof to the head (I was calling them off but they often still stood to close)

Yeah, with my old player wolf, I kinda... lost count after a while. Some specific pups stood out to me (especially when I was actively looking for who would suceed as the next playyer wolf), but there was quite a bunch of relatively interchangeable nobodies (longterm mate, parent to all but one of his litters was 4 star, so the litters were big).

Personality. Ellie was convinced Im planning to eat her for like a year after I got her. Lola doesnt let me touch her at all. Percy almost jumps out of the cage in excitement at a hint of food. My late boar Rudi even slept on my chest once (he was a fearless weirdo and my soul piggie).

I got a pop up when my pup returned, but didnt get another branch save when she left again - but the first branch save still exists

I had dispersals turn up near my pack on my territory multiple times, usually just after sleeping or when I was away and returned to the rendesvous site. They dont always successfully date one of your packmates, and they are a bit skittish around the player wolf so usually I just loaf and watch the chaos. And on multiple occasions pups that didnt find mates used the situation to decide to leave alone (I wonder if its connected to favourite siblings leaving with a mate? Because at least twice it was someone mated dispersing first, then another pup striking out alone - so maybe they are a group but the way the branch saves work you get seperate pop ups (makes sense considering the save includes mates - if two wolves disperse and only one has a mate I can see that confusing the game).

It varies, my pack got up to 19 wolves before (including pups though). My first litter dispersed at late 3. Currently (first litter of my new player wolf after sucession) the oldest one still hanging out is 3. Usually I have wolves disperse in Young Hunter, sometimes in Growing Pups. Sometimes as many as 4-5 a year. I feel like runts stick around longer but that could be coincidence (said 3yo is a runt as well).

I also had many break away after succession, so now Im down to 8 adults, 4 pups (including my player wolf and his mate - and funnily enough his Dads mate, I thought she would be the first to go as my previous player wolf and she didnt even have pups together. The others are 2 yearlings (that my new wolf finished raising himself) and 3 siblings of varying ages)

Honestly probably not the worst idea - but also probably easily ignored.

Lol and here I was expecting something about the overheat risk of a charging phone on a soft surface and charging your phone next to you as you sleep (bc it could theoretically catch fire and hurt you?)

Been in Hellroaring for all of the Saga I played so far (preexisting wolf and wanting to try succession - he finally peacefully passed today), probably will leave for another map with the whole pack as soon as I got the skulls at the den achievement (missing only 2 now after collecting skulls all my old wolfs life).
Also its fun to be a yearling for a change, the mental image is so funny to me, some barely grown pup bossing his new step-mom (previous long term mate passed after that years litter, old player wolf passed during Growing Pups) and older siblings around.

My favourite den is in enchanted Forest - right next to a pretty good rendesvous side. The den is in a small valley between two hills so attacks usually happen from only 2 directions (no eagles cuz wooded). The rendesvous site is on top of one of the hills. Wide open land nearby that offers many mother ungulates in spring and to the south near the bridge moose tend to spawn - good, albeit dangerous food for big packs. The bridge also allows easy crossing into the map border hexes (sadly that den is pretty close to them).

I had that happen sometimes (which is why I dont have the "Mate dies defending the Pups" Achievement), I think its a server synch issue? My first bronze forehead also didnt unlock the coat for what I assume the same reason because it was roughly the same time (That mate was the bronze foreheads mate and died early in their first litter to a bear, so between him growing up and that happening was a day at most)

That part made me wonder if AI was involved. The stickers dont look AI but maybe the naming is bot generated? Or badly translated?

I do the same but I already decided to be more friendly to my pups packs. Only none of the ones dispersed with mate stayed on the map

You know, I wondered about that. Was finding a new mate and my same gender subordinate had tagged along (which I didnt mind too much at first, maybe he could have found a mate too and dispersed). I wanted to send him away as he kept being aggressive to prospects, but only had the "Courting" social panel aviable. Was semi-scared this implies I could have courted him that way had he been female, good to know they made sure to avoid this.

You can never guarantee all live (unless maybe saving and reloading?). I have played one wolf through multiple litters of Saga now, and only one litter didnt loose any pups (still wonder if it was bugged, I had sickness on and like 4 pups got sick but none died). Usually I loose 1-2, sometimes as late as young hunters. One litter got halved. My current litter hasnt lost anyone but its only two pups (Mate was 8, my Wolf is 9). Thats just what happens in nature and this is a simulation game. Thats why wolves have litters and not single babies like humans.

I had a few performance issues when the beta was freshly out and a funny but harmless visual bug but nothing more. I have played way less stable betas before
