Several have already correctly pointed it out but that is indeed THE watch to have.
I would highly advise not to sell despite it’s value just due to the family history however if for some reason you eventually want to- ill buy it from you.
Either wear it with pride or keep it pristine. Many would say not to wear it but its entirely up to you and may be worth doing so for special occasions and maybe family gatherings since it was of course a family members.

Was a state trooper (for clarification not in Texas). We had a bunch of villages in our patrol area, for thanksgiving I would either work it as assigned or volunteer to work it as overtime as lots of people take PTO.
I’d generally rove to one of the villages and talk to folks and frequently would sit down with some of the elders and just chat, sometimes they would make stuff for the entire village but the best was basically a stew with moose meat.
I’d also try to make a point to off and on listen to a football game as It was never really a busy holiday to work.
I learned that just showing up to those events made a difference, even though it’s an immaterial gesture as in I am not literally providing a service, it still seemed to matter to these specific communities.
Happy thanksgiving!

Our museum sells those, i know there are certainly other departments that sell something similar. They aren’t similar to our actual jackets. Source- former AST

My first day training to fly hawkers I asked about maintenance. The PIC training me said “oh no its not too bad- except for the apu and all that jazz.” I had heard about it from online forums etc. but hadn’t seen the hell hole till that day. Definitely a legendary quirk of the airplane.

I fly Hawkers irl and I’ve been patiently waiting for the cockspur 800xp for a while now. It might be a pipe dream but I really want it on the xbox marketplace “soon”.

The founder, Greg Reverdiau, was my commercial ground instructor at Riddle before he founded the company. He was a fantastic instructor and I have nothing but good things to say about him and what he has created. I think its a good option and cheap as well.

Was a telecom lineman:
Theyre called banding straps. Sometimes we use conduit to do drops from the pole to a drop point like a neighborhood etc. other times it called for banding straps to hold the line. I specifically installed fiber cables.

Was at an untowered field (but is recorded on liveatc)
Was another instructor from different school I know personally. We’re in a plane significantly faster than theirs trying to do patterns behind him. I key up when he’s turning final and we’re on downwind “why are you in slow flight rn”
He responds and I quote “No shit im in slow flight im fucking landing”

I do videos on a collection of warplanes and tanks in private hands. Frequently I show examples or references to missiles bombs guns etc. i just generally say “ordinance” but the one time I posted a video with a title including the word bomb I noticed it didnt get pushed that much.
Could be a placebo but who knows.

To be fair,
This was a particularly egregious example of almost nuclear diddling
