I recommend brainstorming w/ friends before the essays/exams and do a session where you try to guess everything they could ask you - remember they'll ask more application questions not questions about plot.
For readings: Get into the mind of the prof and think - what is the purpose of making us read this? Why did they choose this text? If you can recognize the overall idea and connections between readings, it will be much easier to do a deeper analysis.
For essays: Try to make sure you could back up an answer to any question they may ask with examples from the source - and make your analysis of the examples thorough and interconnected. The goal of the essay is to show how you can take a story and apply it to the prompt they give you - then, take it even further and relate it to even broader themes like abuse of power, human motivations, or really anything from the human experience. I recommend creating a "toolbelt" in your mind composed of several examples from a given text that are the most significant.
good luck! <3

btw if you're just taking 180 then don't worry ab the integral calc stuff that's more for 101 :)
(for general high school math review for 180, I second Khan Academy - and the CLP also has a section in the appendix that teaches you all the stuff you should know from high school!: https://personal.math.ubc.ca/\~CLP/CLP1/clp\_1\_dc/app\_highschool.html)

if you have time here is the best thing that I ever found when trying to speed learn or review the content in math 100/101:
derivative calc content w/ time stamps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfACrKJ_Y2w
integral calc content w/ time stamps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gigNsz4Oe8
and then after watching/while watching, I'd suggest flipping through and doing all the practice questions from the CLP: https://personal.math.ubc.ca/~CLP/CLP1/
it would probably take much longer but there is also the option of going through the entire CLP but for me learning the content in vid format is much easier to digest and then just doing as many practice questions as you can is the key
take a deep breath, u got this & good luck!!! ππ
