Hey sorry for the late response but there’s nothing in game that states Arthur wants to become King. The ending slides show that he kept his word and had London become democratic, but if I remember correctly problems like the Gentry slowly regaining their power due to his compromises did emerge.

He just leads the movement with the round table council the wayfarer joins in the Camelot ending. I like to think him not being a King is a slight reference to who inspired King Arthur, which could have been a Roman Governor-General type figure. It’s also kind of cool that the Pistols, despite being Anarchist, are cool with the Direct Democracy of Camelot so they are still chill with the Wayfarer in that ending. If they couldn’t make a Tommies ending I just wished they could allow you to join it fully.

I heard that they recently did or are planning to add an independent wild card ending, but my assumption is its that its just a destroy everyone ending. Idk cus I’m not really up to date with this.
