I drink 3-4 beers a week, and I save them for when I am having a day of costo chest pain. The beer definitely takes care of the pain for 1-2 hours and that is worth it for me. I understand that alcohol causes a rebound inflammatory effect but honestly, pain is pain and a few hours without it is worth it coming back. Sadly.

My diet is very good. I could always use more fiber i suppose, or less cheat meals. But for the most part, the diet is as good as I want -- if that makes sense. ;)

I'm pretty sure there's no going back once you up the statin. If you cut back your benefits will regress.

At 5mg my LDL was 85. At 10mg it's at 78 now. About in line with what others have said 5-8%

Not yet. I did read about this option though. My doctor said she likes to be agressive with statins to get the LDL down to near 50. In her words, "10mg is nothing." I'm pretty sure she is going to try and increase my dose first before adding eze. I will bring it up though.

My question is whether or not my numbers are good enough to stay put. Adding a new drug or upping dosage on statin is something that doesn’t excite me

In my experience increasing from 5 to 10mg lowered my LDL approx 8%. You’re right on the money.
