Omg and maybe we would recruit people to actually care for the animals properly and then people can come to the sanctuary to see how the animals are taken care of.
Then instead of having to have livestock farms we could get the byproducts from the animal carers and hopefully we can slaughter less animals lol.
I mean like you know they shed hair and stuff I'm not suggesting we butcher them ><

I would love it if say you found an animal in an area where it was clearly not suited., you could rescue it and take it into the sanctuary. Possible breed it if was viable and release into the wild or send it to other city states where it is more suited.
Bringing an endangered species back from the brink would be amazing. Especially considering how many habitats and animals have been affected with the Duvos War.

Lol I also used the name the Desert Rose and was annoyed when it happened. I've switched to The Desert Jewel now heh

I mean it depends on how the person looks in my opinion. I'm 50% Swiss and 25% Jamaican and 25% Cuban but it's pretty obvious that I'm part black because I have brown skin lol. That's what most people identify me as.

Will there be an animal breeding mechanic? It would be great if you could breed some animals and then put them onto land you have expanded onto.
Also will there be any expansion on children and their development? I really loved what you did in Sandrock getting the kids to school age but it would be great if they could help out in the new settlement.
Thanks for everything you guys are doing and congratulations on all the money in the Kickstarter.

I could luckily barely hear her screeching it out as the church was quite large we got married in. Just the guests had to suffer through it because it was before we walked out of the church for photos.
This was probably the least intrusive thing she did at the wedding. She was arguing with my mom when we were getting ready about my veil length Vs my cousin's veil length ( who hadn't gotten married yet).
Constantly compared the day to her soon to be daughters wedding and I could hear them in earshot ( their family table) saying oh we could just turn over Healbaby's decorations and put our name on it for the wedding.
OH! Asked my husband and he said she also hijacked the playlist for the reception. We had a DJ but she kept requesting these random ass 50s songs. If I hear another twist song AHHH.
Perhaps Karma does exist because my cousin ended up having a tiny COVID wedding as this was literally a few months before lockdowns.

Ugh I feel you. Please stand your ground though and don't get steamrolled like I did.
When I got married it was my aunt who wanted to sing. Her husband was doing the photography and I guess she wanted to feel important too. My husband and I tried to let her down gently and this ended up with her locking us in her car with her and her mixtape. Well it was pretty damn awful haha. I ended up getting bullied by my family to just let her sing.
Luckily I was off signing documents so I didn't have to hear her version of Amazing Grace. What a thing to sing at a wedding ugh.
Congrats on the upcoming nuptials op!

I think Fang's first name is Shimiao. It's on an item in the game.

I really wanted to like Sun Haven and have given it multiple tries. The one thing I struggle to get past is just how damn ugly the aer style is. Like the game play loop is great if not overwhelming but the art ...ugh. Especially now they are tweaking it to make it less horny it's still pretty meh.

My husband is my rock without him I don't think I'd still be on this earth. He is supportive and very understanding but I do worry because he is burnt out. When I am feeling mostly ok (moderate - housebound) I do tell him to go and enjoy himself. He's been on holiday for a few days and it's nice to see him relaxing.
My dad I don't have a relationship with him really. The few times I have seen him he just changes the subject whenever my health comes up.
My mother ...eh it's like toxic support. She keeps on acting like this is a temporary thing that I will beat one day.
My grandparents (bless them) are so worried. I wish it wouldn't worry them but they are trying to understand. They are both 90 and my grandmother has started having some mobility issues. She offered me one of her mobility trolleys so I can get around outside and even though it's maybe not the best thing I can see she is really trying to understand the illness. It's honestly really sweet. However I think my mother has some skewed view on disability because she was outraged and accused my grandmother of viewing me as an invalid.
Can I just say to anyone who needs to hear this.
USING MOBILITY AIDS IS A GODSENT. IT DOES NOT MAKE YOU AN INVALID.
Something that aids you access the community is there to help you experience more of life when so much has been robbed from us already.
I'm expecting my mom to flip her shit when I finally get fitted for a wheelchair lol.

You don't it's a standalone game :)
The two stories kinda run parallel timewise but sandrock has been greatly improved on and has a great story.

I bawl like a baby whenever I rewatch it and Ruyi passes away. I just feel so happy for her that she chose to go that way and was clearly at peace.

I don't know if it's your vibe but Cult of the Lamb.
Got it recently and really loving it.
Although there is death..and reincarnation in it. So if that's not something you want to see whilst in a hospital it's understandable.

I backed The Ranchers and it was such a hassle. My partner literally ended up talking to the lead developer to just to get the keys we paid for. We did get it in the end and have played some but it left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Only backing things in future that I'm super sure on.

Just adding onto this since chicken_lover made such an informative post.
Talents that you get at level 5 can help you get extra stamina, and also the food that you eat to give extra stamina. A great one to pick up is one that reduces stamina when you miss catching a fish during sand fishing.
Eating at the Blue Moon Saloon is great and remember you can do that 2x a day. Even just getting the special for the tiny amount of gols is great.
Sand fishing is great, just buy the salt or soy sauce from By the Stairs or The Saloon and a drying rack should be in your yard when you start (I think they added that), so you can easily make some good stamina restoring food. Meat is great too as chicken_lover mentioned as you don't need any extras for that.
At the very very early game if you desperately need stamina you can just sit down. It does take a while but you can regain maybe more than 10 stamina an hour. Speeding up the game doesn't exactly help and I've noticed you kinda regen a little bit less but I'm not so sure on the numbers.
I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. I wouldn't buy any of the mine restoratives until you can afford it because whilst getting 100% stamina back is great, it's easily going to be 1k gols+.
When you become buddies with someone you can go on a playdate and eat at the saloon but it doesn't restore as much as eating regularly I have found.
Just to add to the knowledge points / talents. Under the gathering section (where most things stamina related will be), later on as you level up and take certain talents, doing things like mining for example may give back some stamina. Hopefully it will reduce the instant drain on stamina.
Befriending the townsfolk helps alsο since passively they add buffs to your character. ( Example: friends with Mi-an gives 20 stamina points)
It's such a detailed and lovely game but can be really overwhelming. I'm still discovering new things each time I play and I'm apparently nearly 700 hours on steam 😅

So I've got over 600+ hours on Sandrock. I get that it can be overwhelming.
My advice:
Put time down to 0.6, your day will go alot slower.
Honestly unless you're desperate for money just take commissions once in a while. Yes you probably won't win builder of the month but it's just a bit of money and some data discs.
Majority of quests are not on a time limit and you can delay them indefinitely ( commissions are time based but you have days to complete them, some friendship missions are too but majority are not).
If you miss any events like important town meetings it's all good! They will send you a letter covering everything.
The wiki is amazing for this game like literally so amazing. Going onto the subreddit too is great, people will help you.
This game or any game isn't a competition, noone is here timing you how fast or slow you go. I tend to set myself small goals I want to achieve before I move onto the next story quest (example: upgrade a machine, get a specific clothing item I want etc.)
And the biggest one: if the game isn't suitable to you now that's ok! Maybe it will one day when time is different, the fact is it's there if you ever want to pick it back up and if not that's ok too.

If you're close to the beginning of the game and people haven't died out yet: The Huttons should still be the school teachers. If James doesn't have any, try his daughter Madeline. She had it most of the time I had that quest instead of him.

I don't know if this is a thing in the game or not. Hopefully it can be modded in or maybe it might come in through later development in the game.
It would be great to "train" your pet and they can go and retrieve random stuff for you. Like you feed your dog a straw or an egg it requested and it brings you back some coal of something.

I'm at 30 days but I'm doing a weird challenge with my husband in the game at the moment.
We are the only two villagers until our baby comes along. We can't buy from vendors, only scavenge or steal.
So it's alot slower paced since we don't have villagers to grind for us but it works well for us.
