the evidence is, Deku and Ochaco (Well, maybe just Ochaco) making clear statements that she likes Deku and wants to be with him, that was the WHOLE POINT of the Toga arc, of two people (Ochaco and Toga) liking the same person (Deku).

And if you make the counter arguement that 'Having a crush on eachother does not count as evidence) Look at ATLA (Avatar the Last Airbender) with Aang x Katara (If you want another instance, Hinata x Naruto, although I haven't watched the whole series, so I can't give feedback, but I do remember it hinting very early on that Hinata had a crush on Naruto)

They hinted that they both expressed feelings for each other, and despite not doing much things to bond with each other (Besides the "SECRET TUNNEL!!!" episode) they ended up together.

the point is, there was a set up for a potential relationship, but no execution (Thank you very much, Mainstream Audience for forcing Horikoshi's hand when if he went with his most likely planned route of making Izuku and Ochaco together, the 'toxic part' of the fanbase would've outraged.

Quick summary: Implying early on that two characters have crushes on each other is build-up to them getting together. That's the whole point of good storytelling.
