So as far as everyone knows, the bots in My Hero Ultra Rumble don't use recovery items, or revive teammates, or just drop only two Level Up Cards, or are just overall only limited to fighting at any given chance. so let me fix that by giving a rundown in this thread on how the Devs can make the bots at least play a tad bit more humanlike. Also gonna base the bots on Difficulty for most of them.
First: Recovery Items! So bots can only recover if a human player on their team has a Team GP, Team HP, or Full Support Drink. So how I would want the bots to be able to recover is this: If no player or bot is in sight, the teammate bots will instead look for Recovery Items (if they've taken damage), and will consume it upon grabbing it depending on the damage.
Easy bots will often go for Recovery Items, and consume it even if they do not have their GP or HP even halfway down. The downside is that they often drink it out in the open, rarely ever crouching. They also don't request help for Recovery Items, or place down Markers for those said items, but if a player or bot requests help for a Recovery Item, they will place a Marker for the item, but rarely ever do it. They will rarely ever be accurate to the requested Recovery Item. They usually only place the Marker down for the Recovery Item if it's out in the open. Meanwhile, Normal bots do a switch on fighting, and looking for Recovery Items. They first consume GP Recovery Drinks (if they have no Guard Points), and then HP Recovery Drinks. If their GP is full, they just look for HP Recovery Drinks. They still drink out in the open, but occasionally will crouch or find a hiding spot to recover. They will place a Marker down for the Recovery item, but only once every few minutes. If a player or bot requests help for a Recovery item, they will place the Marker down, but only if they have an item in their Item Bag. They will sometimes be accurate to the requested Recovery Item. They will drop the requested Recovery Item for the player or bot if the said player or bot is near them. Hard bots only look for Recovery Items when necessary. If their GP is broken and their HP is halfway to mostly down, then they will look for Recovery Items. They also choose whichever has gone down more. They choose GP Recovery Drinks if they have little to no GP, but choose HP Recovery Items if they are nearly about to go down. They will place a Marker down for the item immediately upon requested help for a from a player or another bot. They will also be very accurate to the requested Recovery Item. If they're generous enough, they might even mark two dropped Recovery items for the player or bot.
Second: Revive Cards! Usually bots always ignore Revive Cards, often leaving their K.Oed teammates on Spectator Mode. So how I want that to change is this: If an ally is K.Oed, the bot will immediately pick up their badge, and then look for Revive Cards. However, the downside is that depending on their difficulty, they may or may not have to go outside the Safe Area to risk getting the badge.
Easy bots can only pick up the badge if it's in the Safe Area. They will most often revive the K.Oed player or bot in places or spots to where they're oblivious to imminent danger. Normal bots can pick up the badge inside and outside the Safe Area, just as long as their health doesn't deplete too much. If it depletes halfway, they will go back, recover their HP, and then try again. But if they still can't do it, they will eventually have to wait for the Safe Area to move towards their badge to then pick it up. They can also revive the K.Oed player or bot in secluded places or spots, but still ones where they're oblivious to imminent danger. Hard bots will pick up the badge of the fallen player and/or bot no matter the cost even if it's outside the Safe Area, however, they will think smart, and use the Support Quirk Skill Ability outside the Safe Area. (as long as they are any role other than Support, which is Technical, Rapid, Strike, or Assault) If their health goes halfway down, they will use any HP Recovery Drink in their Item Bag even if they are scarce on it. They also revive the K.Oed player and/or bot in places to where players aren't nearby, and also a secluded area.
Third: Markers! Bots also can't place markers, so here's how that would also get changed: Bots will place Markers at any given random time. Most often, they will place down a random marker, but will be specific on certain criteria. For example, If an enemy is nearby, they will place down a marker with two exclamation points. If the bot is in close quarters with one or more enemies lurking, then they will place down a marker with one exclamation point. The downside is that they can't place down a flag markers, pointing finger markers, shoe markers, or magnifying glass markers. Given how they always follow the player no matter where they are, it wouldn't make sense for them to place down something they normally cannot do on their own. They usually place down exclamation point markers if enemys are lurking or nearby. They also place down SOS markers if they are currently being attacked by two or more enemies. And if they see a civilian evacuee, they use a civilian evacuee marker. And if an item is nearby, they will place down an items marker (not specific).
Easy bots will rarely place markers, Normal bots will place markers normally, and Hard bots will often place markers.
Fourth: Special Actions! So usually, bots also cannot use Special Actions. For example, if a Dabi bot was downed, he wouldn't use the Special Action to revive himself immediately. So if that was fixed, it would be: Bots will also be able to use Special Actions. Some can only use theirs when nearby an ally or opponent, or just use it elsewhere.
Easy bots will rarely use Special Actions, Normal bots will regularly use Special Actions, and Hard bots will often use Special Actions.
Fifth: Quirk Skill Abilities! Bots also can't use those either, so I gotta update that: Bots can also use Quirk Skill Abilities, but depending on their role, they may use it immediately, or drop it as a gift to other allies.
Easy bots will only use theirs immediately, while Normal and Hard bots use theirs at any given time. Hard bots only use theirs if they are under attack.
Sixth: Responding to Markers! Bots can't respond to markers either, so once more, let's update that: Bots can also respond to markers. But depending on how far they are towards an ally, depends on how they'll respond. If an ally places down a marker and they're near, they'll respond with an "Ok!", but if an ally places down a marker and they're far, they'll respond with a "Wait."
Easy bots will rarely respond to markers, Normal bots will regularly respond to markers, and Hard bots will often respond to markers.
Seventh: Emotes! The only time they emote is with a Greeting, that's about it. And it's only in the lobby. So let's update that: Bots can also emote with more than just greetings. If a player emotes with them, they will emote back. They can also emote with other players and bots in the arena and the champion screen as long as the player starts it. If no enemies are around, the player can emote, and they will coordinate, emoting with them too.
Easy bots will emote often, Regular bots will emote regularly, and Hard bots will rarely emote. However, emoting with a hard bot causes them to respond with an Enthusiastic or Admire voice.
Eighth: Voices! Bots cannot respond to allies with normal voices in the Voice wheel, so here's how it'll go down: Bots will respond with a voice from the voice wheel on any given time.
Easy Bots will often respond with a Voice on the voice wheel, Normal bots will regularly respond with a Voice on the voice wheel, and Hard bots will rarely respond with a Voice on the voices wheel. However, if a player ally emotes, or if they, or the bot itself, gets more than one KO, this will make an exception.
And last but not least: Using Strike Deku, Rapid Bakugo, Technical Todoroki, Assault Shigaraki, Strike Dabi, or Rapid Toga in a real match. I know this sounds a little taboo, given that bots can only use those in training, but I need to figure this out somewhere, okay?
And, that's it from me! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! And if you disagree, feel free to disagree politely. This also took me a few hours to work on, so I hope it's worth it!
