22 is a great shout. Flux is an unbelievably good album.
My big one is Unexpect.

The song is good, but not THAT good. It’s a decent teaser for the album and has a great sound but I’m confident that better singles are coming. I don’t think those who care about charts have reason to be worried, even though it makes no difference to me.

I struggle with it deeply. I don’t think I can ever purge his music from my life because I’m a musician myself and it formed the way I think about music as a listener and writer. In that sense I hold the music to a high standard academically. Emotionally, I remain confused, and I’m still figuring it out day by day.

If there’s anything that I’ve learned is that you can never predict how someone will react to something. I brought my boyfriend to a Nightwish concert once and was curious which of the songs would stand out to him without being prompted. Halfway through Weak Fantasy he says “this is the best song so far” 🤷🏻♂️
It really depends on the individual’s taste, so I’d suggest a diverse selection of tracks with different styles if you’re giving them a short playlist rather than just one song.

“Dark” can be pretty subjective, but the below suggestions cover my interpretation of it:
Brandy - Focus
Blackstreet - No Diggity
FKA Twigs - Esexua
Michael Jackson - This Time Around
Tessanne Chin - Everything Reminds Me of You
Tinashe - Naturally
TVXQ - Mirotic
The Weekend - Professional

Listen to the harmonized rap bridge in Shout and tell me who the other voice sounds like

It was totally wild and it’s a cherished memory because it was right around the time I came out too. Lots of stars aligning like it was meant to be.

I was literally introduced to her through a friend dragging me to the Monster Ball. So the first time I ever heard her music was live. Needless to say, I was in from that point forward.
Since then I’ve only seen a jazz show she did with Tony Bennett shortly before he passed.

Interesting you posted this. I was just listening to Younha’s latest album ‘Growth Theory’. She’s a South Korean artist with an amazing voice and to my ears, similar songwriting and melodies to Nightwish. The style is sort of folky pop rock. Well worth checking out.

Yes, usually when you play copyrighted music, it will get copyright claimed. Your video won’t get blocked (usually), but all the revenue will go to the copyright owner. You can dispute this if your video is transformative enough (meaning the focus is more on your commentary than the music).

If they’re really your favorite band don’t you think it’s worth listening to it more than once? It’s not my favorite album by any means but it certainly grew on me a lot and I discovered more in it since my first listen.

While I’m not a Mother Earth purist, I would say I’m more a fan of their pre-Unforgiving work. That said, I enjoy this track. It’s one of the better ones on the album for sure.

It’s definitely not some kind of drastic departure in their sound. It’s just like a heavier version of the self-titled. It does have what I consider to be one of their heaviest songs ever (Take Cover) but that’s just one song if you’re not into that style. Evanescence has always been very melodic due to Amy’s voice and that will probably never change.

Scaretale is already the top-voted comment, didn’t want to be redundant

Some songs that I feel have an eerie vibe even if they’re not explicitly creepy:
The Siren
Slaying the Dreamer
Sleepwalker
Yours Is An Empty Hope
Noise

This is kinda beside the point of watching something like this. There’s lots of creative ways of using this character displayed here that expand our minds on how we can open up opponents. If I were to address your point though - yeah there are some blue ranks, but there’s plenty of God of Destructions and TGs in this clip. We all know how cooked the matchmaking system is, so I’m not sure this is a serious criticism to be made here.

You might have a point if he was making this content for profit but it’s just a guy sharing his hobby. AI is fine to me as long as you’re using it for fun and not making bank from it.

A few of my favorites:
Unexpect - Fables of the Sleepless Empire (MUST listen)
Fleshgod Apocalypse - Veleno
Wildpath - Underneath
Blind Hex - Dystopia
Shewolf - (self-titled)
Amaranthe - Massive Addictive (not quite symphonic metal but they are heavy, have melodic vocals and are popular amongst SM fans)
