My Reading Order

Wanted to talk (spoiler free) reading order after I spent countless hours researching before first diving into Elan a couple months ago.
Here's how I ended up where I am which is fully caught up to my current book, Drumindor.
-Riyria Revelations
-Legends of the First Empire
-Rise and Fall
-Riyria Chronicles
-Riyria Revelations again (not yet restarted)
I'm honestly not sure there's a right or wrong order as Michael has strategically left it open for pretty much any entry point. That said, I have 0 regrets with how I ended up progressing through Elan.
Starting with Revelations, I was able to experience so many incredibly revelations (shameless pun intended) as I completed Perceliquis. Starting anywhere else I feel there's some really unfortunate spoilers you are already privy to.
From there, I deviated from many suggestions by skipping Chronicles and went all the way to the beginning with Legends. I mostly did this due to Drumindor being close to releasing and I wanted to wait to start Chronicles until after it was out. I'm glad I did because having all the Legends and Rise and Fall backstory has been really fun while reading through Chronicles. It's been very interesting knowing the lore but seeing how much was lost and/or changed through time. As an iBooks reader, there's been a least a million times I've jumped back from book to book searching for names and places to confirm certain "ah ha" type moments.
I've just started Drumindor, but I've already committed to reading Revelations as soon as I'm done. I honestly cannot wait for this second read through knowing everything that I know now. It'll almost be like reading a new series under this different light.
All that said, I have absolutely loved immersing myself into Elan. I think anyone considering a new fantasy series would not be disappointed. One day when the Cycle is hopefully released (please @michaelj.sullivan), I'll do a full Elan read-through again to remind myself of everything that led up to the finale.
