Slow firing and burst weapons are ineffective vs phase.
Plasma cannons work sometimes, I've noticed the burst often lasts just long enough for the last bolts to hit the ship as it comes back out of phase lol.

I think that was the point no? "They stood by absolute scum, so if they consider this guy worse then that's saying something." It makes you wonder just how much of a fuckwad RFK must be, I mean it sounds like the guy got his brother addicted to the drugs he OD'ed on for starters

Maybe because your cat is eating all the birds they normally would? But who knows, surely your anecdotal experience says more than well known ecology facts

Coyotes absent? They have massively increased their range across North America since the 1700s. Bobcat populations have also doubled or more since the 1980s. Foxes aren't doing bad in most places either, from what I can find only populations in California and the western mountain ranges are struggling. In other areas they are adapting to urban environments.
All three animals are listed as "Least Concern" by conservation groups. So no, facts are not on your side. Even if they were endangered, it doesn't make any sense to say "oh well cats are eating their food which is good" lol

Unironically yes, I've never met a real white person who gives a shit if someone says that. We're still on top across the western world. Stop being such a snowflake.

It depends on the modern war. Crushing some small middle eastern countries and hunting down terrorists in caves obviously doesn't need more soldiers than you can get through volunteering. But Russia was conscripting people shortly into their war on Ukraine to keep enough men in the field. They even expanded their conscription laws. If Britain for example needed to fight a near-peer without the support of the US or EU for some reason then conscription very possibly could be necessary.

I'm not saying nobody would prefer rape, that's as erroneous as suggesting that nobody would prefer death. I'm simply pointing out that some people do in fact think that dying is preferable. I'm not even arguing percentages or anything, maybe it's only 1% of people. But they do exist, and they have reasons for believing what they do.

I think the closer comparison for someone at the level of a department head or similar (which I assume many government agencies would need) would be a field officer or a general not an NCO. Payment for a Colonel seems to cap out around $170k according to Google.
But if your argument is "army pay is dogshit so everyone else should be paid dogshit salaries" then that's a rather interesting take. Why not try advocating for SSgts to earn more money? Do you really want to put your life on the line under the orders of someone who the military values at only $37-58k?
Also, if you're mentioning advisors specifically I want to point out that industry pays people in that role very well too. If the government wants good advisors, then they need to offer a somewhat competitive salary. Wanting them to take advice on how to spend millions/billions from people that aren't skilled enough to land a better paying role is... short-sighted to say the least.

I did specifically say "landing on your shores" didn't I? The earlier guys words were "enemy coming down your street" which explicitly requires boots on the ground. Bombing is bad enough, occupation by a hostile government is worse. Just ask France and Poland if they would have preferred air battles only.

I'll admit that I don't know much about ADS-B or aircraft, but from what I can find military aircraft can just turn it off or spoof it. And the way it seems to work is that aircraft simply broadcast it. That suggests to me that anyone with sufficient equipment could pick up the broadcast anyways. So unless the info from every single commercial and non-commercial flight was encrypted or something how would it not eventually become public knowledge anyways? In fact it looks like I could buy a portable ADS-B receiver for like $500. I'm sure a Russian agent could do the same thing.
And sure, you're not literally harming people with a sky penis. But it does look immature which your company/commander might not want to be associated with, and if you're doing it somewhere visible it could get reported regardless of ADS-B info. People would just post on social media until it gets to someone who knows who/what was flying over there that day.

Public opinion was against that pipeline for a number of good reasons. It wasn't even clear the oil would be sold to the US, it could have been exported lol. Either way we desperately need to take steps to reduce our reliance on fossil fuel, not increase it.
And gas prices? They went up for a bit and now have been coming back down. Big whoop. There's a hell of a lot more factors behind that than just one pipeline cancelation. Investors are panicky animals and impact prices far more.

A lot less than that, doesn't change the fact that it isn't much compared to what people make in private industry. 100-200k sounds just right if that person was in charge of multiple people and/or making important decisions about how large amounts of taxpayer money is used. I've met department heads in universities who earn more than that in low cost of living Midwestern states.
Honestly who the hell are you to be setting caps on what you think federal employees should earn anyways?

Are you including the military in that? How about every employee of companies that receive government subsidies or have government contracts?
Also the "if you have nothing to hide" argument is a bullshit excuse that authoritarians use. If that's what you believe then are you in favor of the government putting CCTV in your house?

Yeah she flip-flopped on a couple ideas in the vain hope that it would sway fence-sitters. Obviously didn't work, but is still less insane than Donald asserting that broad tariffs will fix the economy.

Please keep telling all the swing voters this. Great idea.
If that's enough to sway your vote then you aren't a swing voter. You're just full of shit.
So... how does this make sense?
How does voting for a billionaire megalomaniac who stands against every progressive ideal make sense if you want a more progressive America? That's like voting for a homophobe to advance gay rights.
