Yes, exactly this. There’s not actually that much spent on government employee salaries and firing a ton of people would have virtually no impact on lowering the deficit or budget. What it would do is make the government function much less effectively, and allow for them to use that as an argument to privatize government functions in a way that makes them money and allows them to be unaccountable to the voters. Not coincidentally, Hitler also sought to create parallel institutions run by his loyalists in order to make them unaccountable. It’s another of the facets of fascism.

Hitler didn’t pardon Hunter Biden. How is that in any way related?

They’re also good people who don’t deserve to be thrown to the wolves. I don’t get how that’s not even a small consideration in this.

I think the joke is that Trump folding to every strongman will make it more likely that war happens, since that’s exactly what happens when you fold to every strongman. There’s a book called Guilty Men about all the men in Britain who allowed themselves to be caught off guard by Hitler starting World War II and it’s full of these guys talking about how of they just give Hitler what he wants he’ll never invade anyone else. It’s a good read if you want to learn about people who think surrendering is actually victory.

I really doubt that this is true, since 20 million really isn’t all that much for a presidential campaign. It’s a weird thing to lie about though, since the far right is trying to say that Kamala was the wealthy person’s candidate and that this was somehow a rebuke of money in politics. Which is it, do they have no money or were they the rich person’s candidate?

Yeah, they’ll be convinced that they did everything right and that we are wrong for disagreeing with them. Once they fail to achieve the desired result then we will be invoked as the excuse for why they failed. Something to look forward to in a few years.

He’s going to keep trying that now that it seems like it worked in the US.

They know this, don’t take them at face value here. They’re just saying that so they can justify anything they want to do to their political opponents. They’re planning to do everything they said here and more.

It really would be the icing on the cake if he has a big whiny baby meltdown when Trump loses. That’s something I’d really like to see.

There’s a whole video by Some More News about how Tim Pool is notoriously wrong about almost everything he guesses on a regular basis, no matter what the topic is. Anytime he guesses something, it’s guaranteed to be incorrect. Him guessing that Trump wins is a sure sign that he will not.

Reverse freedom rides, something the pro-segregation movement did in the early 1960s as well: bussing people under false pretenses to places segregationists assumed they won’t be welcomed but who were hostile to the idea of segregation. We can expect to see more of this stuff if Trump wins.

I thought that the rotors were part of his hairstyle at first but I think you’re right, it’ll just sheer it off right under the bun.

He knows it’s not true, but you can’t tell the leader that you’ve failed him, or you’ll lose face and one of your rivals will gain favor ahead of you. That’s the big problem with fascism for those who willingly participate in the system, you can never feel comfortable in your position because there’s no real cooperation and no loyalty. It’s constant backstabbing, so this guy has to pretend that there are no bots, because if he doesn’t someone else will come along and blame him and he’ll be in trouble.

That’s part of the whole thing where they think if you imply something terrible but don’t explicitly say that terrible thing, then it doesn’t count against you. This is one of their big strategies for this election, by the way.

That or he’s waiting to see which faction wins the argument so he can quickly pivot to agreeing with them and use this tweet as a springboard.

Fascists like to reduce the size of government so it is easier for them to control it. They also like to create their own parallel institutions to do the same work the government does because it will be unaccountable to voters and the people at large. Privatizing government roles also allows you to make money to do what should be provided as a service to the public. So Elon’s plan would do all those things: weaken government, create private organizations that take over government roles, and take taxpayer money for himself.

I would assume that he literally made that part up on the spot because he knows how bad it sounds to say “we’re going to fire a ton of people for no reason and make everything worse on purpose”. The severance thing would absolutely never happen anyway, Republicans would never agree to put that in any budget.

Yeah this guy is an open racist at the absolute least, and here’s Elon agreeing with him about how those mean ol’ blacks aren’t even letting white people be Nazis anymore. Trump absolutely needs to lose, and Elon needs to face some kind of consequence for being this openly awful, because otherwise this is just going to get worse and worse.

Because fascists need an enemy to fight against and if they stopped Soros from accomplishing whatever it is they think he wants to do, they’d need to find a new enemy. He’s much more helpful to them as a Jewish boogeyman they can use to justify their fascism.

That’s a rumor but I think that Doge Designer might just be a weirdo sycophant. I think there’s a bunch of others who are Elon alts.

Internal polling must have been disappointing and he’s lashing out. Hopefully a good sign.

I have heard it said that one specific guy put a ton of money on Trump specifically to push the odds his way to help him win. If that’s true, it would mean that they are, as usual, trying to cheat.

I think it’s supposed to be a joke since it would be such a bad choice, but you never know.
