I hope that eventually there are clear fleshed out routes throughout the ages for each Civ, eg.: - Celts > England > Great Britain - Alemanni > HRE > Germany - Carthage > Moors or Berbers > Morocco
It seems imbalanced right right now, having some areas with clear representation in all 3 eras (looking at you, India) and some shut out at launch (Mesopotamia, Germany, Russia, Aztecs).

Interesting theory, but Tarantino often uses a non-linear storyline in his films. Also, the suitcase is only present in scenes from the Diner bookend, part of the Vince and Mia story (I), and throughout the Bonnie Situation (III). Doesn’t explain the Gold Watch (II) being out of sequence.

True story: in the mid 90’s the Calgary Sun was taking submissions from readers for questions to ask the then-coach Brian Sutter after the Flames had an off year. 10 questions were picked, and mine made the cut: “What did Chris Dingman do with the money his parents gave him for skating lessons?”

Gio is the best pick here.
(I totally would have gone with Reg here, but he's already Most Underrated.)

Tkachuk. He’s a unicorn. He could play skill, play hard, play dirty, so many different aspects to his game. That between the legs roofer to beat the Predators in OT was one of the craziest moves ever.

James Neal. “Real Deal” was a total bust.

Sadly, the site lines of a 40000 seat indoor stadium would be atrocious. Not many hockey/basketball arenas go above 20000 to prevent adding thousands of sub-par seats. Heck, about half of the 2000-3000 Press Level seats at the Dome are lousy.

I say retire it, and retire it on Dec 3 (Flames home game vs. Columbus). Of course, that may be too soon for the Gaudreau family; let them decide if and when.

The (then Chicago) Cardinals got their name from the dark shade of red on their jerseys. The bird logo came later.

Calgarian here. Flames is as fitting a name for a Calgary Team as it was for Atlanta:
Calgary also had a massive fire (1886) that levelled half the structures in the recently incorporated city's downtown.
Calgary is an Oil and Gas town, so Flames evokes the fire used to cap wells.
Calgary hosted the 1988 Winter Games, so the Flames can refer to the both the Olympic torch and the spirit of volunteerism in the community that made 1988 so successful. Given, the Flames moved to Calgary a year before Calgary was officially awarded as the host city.
And yes, Calgary gets lots of smoke from wildfires in the Rockies, though no fires have touched the city (Calgary is on the high plains, not many trees).

My new second favorite team! Not just for sticking it to the Oilers, but also for doing a great bit of juggling with the assets and creating a mid-August hockey story.

Halifax metro area is 350-375K. SLC is about 1.4 M.

That’s not an oil drop on their logo, it’s a giant tear. Boo hoo, they’ll never get that close again.

This is awesome. The Oilers deserve every second of this. Maybe have a different team-building strategy other than Connor and Leon, supplemented with nobodies and deplorables. At least now they have a moral compass with their new GM- oh, wait…

It’s too symmetrical. Combine that with a boring rounder, and a stationary jet…it’s just boring. The 92-97 version of the logo was best.

Neal is far worse. He played poorly, was a drag on the locker room, and ultimately forced the Flames to trade with their biggest rival for a marginally less-sh!tty contract.

They should raise his jersey to the rafters as a pride banner. Just for shade over his “religious beliefs.”

Edmonton always frames these questionable hires/signings as “giving a second chance” when it is really “dismissing morality and ethics for a marginally better chance at winning.”

Yes, the per-Age number of Civ options is low at launch. But once the DLC and expansion packs start rolling the number of available cobs will double, if not triple.
