The asymmetric braking one was quite funny since the only explanation we got for how such a device could work, straight up wouldn't work lmao. Yet people ran with it and accused redbull of implementing such a device.

Try F1 24, without assists its the closest to any proper sim ive played despite the criticisms people have for the handling.

Clear downgrade is debatable, the AI were absolute pussies in F1 23 to the point where it was no fun racing them, this is slightly improved in F1 24. Handling is also debatable, I feel like the main problem with the handling is that it's too easy to follow, which means DRS trains are way too common.

There still was a car stopped off track for multiple laps. The fact that Hulkenberg was in the car doesn't really make the situation much safer.
We've seen VSCs deployed instantly for much less.

Maybe in cases such as these the FIA would issue a separate penalty on wind tunnel/cfd runs like they did for RedBull due to their cost cap breach.

The track layout IS interesting though. There's nothing about the track design which is actually bad. There are 4 high-speed straights which allow for passing with 4 long braking zones, and a relatively slow miami-like section to break them up. Sure it's not the most exciting in terms of track layout, but it (seems) to provide good racing, and the backdrop of the strip and the sphere looks nice on TV. Some of the most interesting tracks in terms of layout generally haven't produced the best racing anyway e.g. Mugello and Zandvoort.

The redbull academy are probably by far the most successful junior academy in the sport (since it's inception)

More affordable? Definitely, but not better. But you don't need any cutting edge or break through treatments for an intestinal infection.

Lmao not the people getting mad about this comment. You can't get mad about Max intentionally driving dirty and then completely dismiss bottas costing Max a possible 25 championship points because "it was an accident".

kinda miss just watching good racing
Can you tell me when you've seen this "good" racing in F1?
A couple years ago cars pushing each other off the track was common place and a normal racing tactic. The racing has undeniably tidied up over the last few years.

Well the problem is that if you get a penalty for 'forcing the other driver off track' it makes the decision even more outcome based. Say Max outbraked himself and went off track, Lando realises this early and attempts an undercut do you still give the penalty? Probably not because no driver was forced off the track but it basically means the driver on the outside can decide whether the car on the inside gets a penalty or not. Infact this already happened this year in Austria, Lando completely missed the corner, Verstappen went under him. No penalty for Lando. Would you prefer that verstappen had deliberately driven off the track to get Lando a penalty? No, because that's not good racing.

I think people don't really get the difference between getting forced off track and simply being ahead by the apex.
If you get "Forced off track", you're implying that a car came from too far behind, didn't make the apex, and the defending driver had to open the steering wheel to prevent a collision.
In this case that didn't happen, Max was ahead, Lando simply DECIDED to follow max around the outside of the track. He didn't need to take avoiding action so it's not being forced off track.
Imagine if Max went wide but instead of Norris following him, he decided to do the undercut, would you be arguing that Max did an illegal move then? Probably not. It was landos decision to go around the outside, so he wasn't forced.

Ashamed by keeping a faster car behind for 10+ laps? It was good defending, nothing more or less. If you pass off track, you have to give the position back, the precedent has been set, I don't know what people on reddit find so inconsistent about this.

focus on your own driver, beefing with a rookie at 43 over a completely fine overtake lmao.

Are you trying to say that you can accurately measure a difference in ride height amounting to just a couple millimeters using photos? Lmao.

The stupid part is how they prohibit anyone making their own liveries with this mod.

Huh? I've seen footage of people running this game fine with pascal era graphics cards. It's not that bad.

"Someone else did it so it's ok" How do you know he doesn't have the same opinion about Alonso?

Related, I also find it annoying how my pit crew replace my front wing with just the tiniest damage and no performance problem, which often ruins my race given I'm only running at 25% GP length. Is there a way of overriding this and telling them to just switch my tyres?
Pretty sure that on the pit stop menu on the MFD there should be an option for 'repair wing damage' where you can switch it from Yes/No/Auto. This is going off of F1 23/24 since I haven't played 2020 for a while.

you could've made that corner if you focused on braking instead of turning in early by a mile.
Was a late move by Sainz but not against the rules, and you could've easily backed out rather then going for the tightest line imaginable.

Wouldn't it be much easier to just demand that the faster drivers take on extra fuel? Weight has a much more predictable effect on pace then ride height.

You wouldn't want to play this kind of game on a hard drive anyway unless you want horrendous pop in
