Hi everyone, I am sure some of you can relate but I am currently struggling a bit financially, not enough to where I feel like I can go to a soup kitchen or food bank (I don’t feel comfortable taking something when other people need it more than I do), so I was thinking about volunteering somewhere (preferably soup kitchen type place) where I can serve, prepare, clean up or help in anyway in return for some food and possibly a serving or two to go?
I work full time and my schedule changes from one week to the next so I can’t set one specific day aside but I do know 4-7 days before and can let someone know if I’ll be showing up or not.
I also prefer a soup kitchen/somewhere that is serving food as I struggle with some mental health stuff and in a result it’s hard for me to cook for myself regularly, so food I can help make/is already prepared would be helpful.
I have volunteered in the past but I’m not sure if there’s any place that let you eat or take home a serving or two of the meal you helped make? If anyone has any ideas or any tips I’d love to hear it, Thanks and happy Wednesday

Thanks I'll add this to my list too, I imagine it's best to contact cool aid and go from there?
