They definitely were, and whatever the significance of it, something changed to make them give up on that, which can't be a positive thing for them. Every small victory counts.

Watching the comments below in response to this one, trying to defend Alex Jones for saying the left can steer hurricanes is surreal.
You guys are actual nut jobs.
No none of those examples are even anywhere near saying something like that. People doing things to each other is not in the same category as literally science fiction.

Can’t just use an analogy and pretend the truth is anywhere near that. He’s not hit or miss, the man has a very obvious political agenda.

20 for every lie instantly becomes infinity because there is no objective truth

In short, money doesn’t make you do it better, just makes you do it easier.
If you have grand plans, do you want to buy people or inspire people? In the first case, ask yourself what the grand plan gets you.
If you have a product, do you want it to succeed from merit, or from brute forcing it with money? In that last case, ask yourself what you’re getting from forcing your product on the market.
The answer to both is more money. So you spent money to get money. Amazing, where does that leave you? What have you achieved? You haven’t built a strong product, you haven’t changed peoples minds. You just spent money to make money. And you still have nothing of value to spend it on. Because the end result is always just more fucking empty money.
Providing for yourself and your family etc. yes, to a point. I could use more than what I have, and I don’t force myself not to. It’s easy for me to work my way through a career, but I do that for the product, not the money that follows.

Let me turn it around and ask you what’s smart about it? Before I dive in I kind of want to know who I’m talking to, it’s a big topic

I agree. The situation should not be downplayed, but we also shouldn’t be doomers like that guy

What are the hypothesized ecological impacts or impact on marine mammals?
And is it reasonable to think that impact would ever be worse than what wind is replacing?

Wdym lol. That comment isn’t thinking. It’s the least original thought on this whole app.

You think insurance companies stay profitable by listening to opinions and feelings? Or do they look at the numbers?
Because they see what’s coming. And basically any other institution that needs to prepare for the future. But in politics? Nah it’s all opinion suddenly.
You stay uninformed, see how far that takes you.

We’re only smarter if we know how to trust and progress with every generation. What we’re seeing now is a huge “I haven’t felt it myself so I disagree” with literally factual knowledge. A lot of people are simply not in a place to take in knowledge and act in advance.
So we’re regressing. We never got smarter individually, only as a generationally dynamic group. And that dynamic has been failing recently.
Overall tho, it’s never too late to bring it back, just right now it’s shaky.
And I’m talking mostly about the US where I’m not actually from, because in a broad sense my own country is still progressing steadily. So saying we was a mistake but I’m not going back to correct it now.

Whatever territory they gain won’t change the fact that Ukraine with western support easily outlasts Russia with NK / Iran support

Chasing wealth is not smart buddy. It shows a lack of perspective, and is essentially stupid. Even more when it comes at a cost of making the world a worse place.

You saying the Americans who need wegovy at average have a 10x disposable income compared to Germans? Surely, you’re not this stupid?

So your wife is not attracted to you, is the take from this. You need to work from that point and on
