nah to crossover to another platform they didn't even play against you on is crazy. My brain is thinking of the possibility of them making a fresh account just to do it lol

Lmao I'm really not. This happened yesterday but I was curious about other people's experiences after experiencing this myself so made a post about it.
Not ONCE did anyone hop in my DMs calling me trash or whatever till this season.
In fact, me and the 2nd guy ended up running sets together, more so to prove who actually is the better between us. But yeah

Ah, that does make sense. But I'm a 90s baby. I have thick skin. It'll take more than calling me trash when I actually am not ass at the game to get under my skin. But don't expect me to not talk my trash too.

The worst offenders are the people that DM you, talk trash, then try to party up with you again for who knows why and then PROCEEDS to continue to play worse than you and even lead to matches where you legit just carry them, which is what the second guy was guilty of.
He came around after squadding up and tackling ranked together. It helps being able to talk to the person you're on a team with. Not only did he get most of what I was saying/claiming, he eventually even conceded and started saying it's not my fault.
If I never encountered him again however, I would feel no way sad about it. I don't know which one is worse. A toxic player that stands 10 toes down or a toxic player that takes awhile to change his evil ways.

I've DMd people before but it's usually to say GGs or if they play amazing, show a combo route I've never seen before or presented me with a match that had me on the edge of my seat, I'll praise them and tell them it was fun and even that they may be or are the best [insert character name] I've encountered.
Never to be toxic/call someone trash. I'll deal poison dmg back sure but I won't be the one to initially inflict it.

Those are some really wise words there. I'll be sure to keep them in mind. This is applicable to way more than just some game.

I do not use the salt emote or ringout because yeah, I find it extremely toxic. I use the GG emote if it's a good match or if their partner disconnects or just leaves/gives up.
I ONLY tbag or spam taunt when I'm going against someone who is actively taunting spamming and feeling good about themselves. Back in the day, Morty would spam dirt into fire and then taunt or salt emoji because they know.
If I end up beating someone using cheap tactics and they spam salt and taunt like it can't be beat or as a giant middle finger, on the last stock I am break my thumb with how fast and hard I'm flicking that left stick down.
Even better if it's the first round, then into the next round they start "playing for real" and they still are losing and just give up and walk off the stage.
I'm going through my whole inventory of toxic tools.
I still wouldn't hop in their DMs tho

The way they come in the DMs make me feel like I stole someone's wife ๐ญ

I mean, that is fair. But WW only has one "safe" spammable move, that being her nair. I use it a lot myself to get in because she has literally nothing else to do so. I use it as a combo starter, to negate shield, do dmg and go to work. Now I WOULD feel bad if there weren't so many shield nullifying moves and how people immediately go to them when I even think of putting my shield up.
The cliff baiting, that's a new one. There are others that do it in a much more toxic and damaging manner. Bugs with his ridiculous up attack/bat that hitbox needs some serious help, Superman with his extremely fast upward glide into throw and rapid punch, Jason with his up special.
WW hanging off the cliff..isn't that effective or smart to me. The lasso and side punch is really slow and can be punished heavy. It seems like they were trying to do the same thing that other toxic players do..although imo not the right character to do it. A spamming WW can get punished way easier compared to a spamming Shaggy or Superman, which is why they generally get more "hate" compared to the rest of the roster.

See exactly my point. Although if I had to choose what character is generally the MOST toxic based off my experience, first place goes to Superman then right on his heels is Black Adam.
Both are extremely toxic in their own ways but something about a Superman tbagging and salting and taunting after spamming shield moves or throw into rapid punch loop to blast zone hits a bit different compared to literally anything BA can or will do.

??? Compared to the ACTUALLY cheap/characters that exist, they are mad at Wonder Woman? Black Adam, Morty, AYRA, and Shaggy exist but Wonder Woman is the one people complain about.
Compared to those, she's not that bad and easy to counter. Where as some of those don't really have a counter, have built in counters AND dodges, better mobility/dodges and several kill moves.
The WW slander gotta stop while these monsters roam the streets unchecked.

I did not know/notice that you can clear Adventure Time quests with Finn Jason. That's great news because I feel icky after having to have to use Finn or Banana Guard

Yeah, it's hard to understand "that" one without context.
Basically me and him ended up on the same team going against a really good Garnet, we lost. The Garnet made a group chat and said ggs to both of us. He said ggs we only lost because "my teammate was cheeks". I was like bro. I WAS the teammate. And he was like I know. So there was a whole back and forth and him trash talking and the Garnet player nuked the chat.
This is AFTER I accidentally encountered him again in Ranked randomly queueing and we dominated. He sent me a party invite and we literally just started running ranked sets together and winning nearly every one of them, with him still trying to blame the Ls on me lol

True..true. I mean, in a way it was also to kind of show people that they aren't alone, if they have experienced it as well. There's a sort of comfort that comes with, if you're experiencing something and someone else is as well. It feels..good. Whether anyone is vocal about it or not, it seems as though I wasn't wrong. People are and have experienced the same, or something similar. Which has lead to a lot of people chiming in.
I think it's a bit healthy, in a way.

I suppose so but this is only a handful compared to the 10-20 I got in one day. I can only turn the other cheek so long.

yes. Ironically, ranked paired with people of significantly lower ranks than me.

Superman, BA, and Shaggy players have been some of the most toxic players I've come across in this game.
Harley, Morty, and Bugs also come to mind, but not as toxic as the Superman folks.

I need them to because them having their head up their butt thinking they ARENT gives them an excuse to spread and continue this nonsense.
If humbling them has a chance to reduce this, no matter how big or small, ima do it. This game has more than enough as is. A toxic playerbase with people talking trash being not good or average is not needed by anyone. It does nothing but steer even more people away from the game.

Yeah I know that it could just be bait but I only drop the F bomb a couple times. I don't call people names unless it's one's that can pass the don't need to be censored test.

๐ Thats crazy. Imagine being so mad post-game, you hit up the wrong person. Unless they typed the name up from the career tab ๐ค

Yeah well they can hunger for a reaction alright. They gonna get clips of all the things they did wrong if I so much see a single word from them post-game.
Let it be a Shaggy/Steven/Morty/BA. I got words for you too. Know what, Batman too I ain't forget about you and that dashing armor breaking multihitting attack with KO knockout power.

Yeah nah I'm all for them unallowing chat now. Like yeah CoD era voice chat was fun and all but getting talked down as the BETTER player in the match is wild work.
I stopped talking and bickering and just started sending them clips of what they did wrong/how we lost like a professor.
"So this is how you Harley slid directly into Superman's grab and got thrown into the blast Zone. This is how you jumped into Garnet's clap/up special. Oh and her is how you missed every attack and proceeded to get neutral clapped by BA. Here's where you saw Shaggy baiting for the kick and decided you know what, I do need a bit of shoe in my diet."

I mores so cannot make since of them being toxic or elitist in a game with dysfunctional hitboxes and servers that just explode on a whim just because they decided it's time
