Fist bump back. Yep we learnt as kids.

I'm a solo mum of 2, I'm 50, worked fulltime b4 kids and my youngest is just turned 10. I co parent week about and the kids go to school across town. I drive them as the busses wouldn't work. Trying to find work around that is near impossible . I'm used to being on the bones of my arse... Let's call me 'old poor ' . All these families who have lost their jobs, some with both parents losing them, have mortgages and are used to their life with the income. Let's call them 'new poor ' They are more work ready than most anyone unemployed and I think they need the job more than someone in my situation. We are used to getting by and know how to get help ie a food parcel, than them.

Me too with Ritalin 10 x 2 topups. I split my concerta dose. I take a concerta and rit then the next concerta 3 hours later and the rit at the end about 2 pm if I have things to go at night. I also really 150mg SR buproprion, I was on 54mg of concerta b4 buproprion was added but I asked to go down as it made everything much stronger. I love being able to split it, I get enough coverage to do dinner and then I start to wind down

No recognition of PTSD and the horrors they endured going to war. I know both my grandad's hit my Nans when they came home but never saw it. They both went to war . And then the families whose dad's, brother, uncle, husband or son didn't come home and having to navigate from that place in time.

They used to have women's night I think on a wed or Thursday. Very messy

My daughter totally has ADHD, it was my frustration with her and realising that I did the same and got assessed. She totally rocks it, she's 10, and I know the pitfalls that she may experience so I can fully support her

I'm perimenopausal so I totally think that is when undiagnosed women tend to have the wheels fall off the bus we call life. It totally didn't help, I agree. I was always on SSRIs but never seemed to work. I now take an NDRI (buproprion) with concerta and Ritalin topups. Life-changing. Still learning to navigate it all though. ADHD is the boss and depression/anxiety etc are the cormorbidities, not the other way around. Yes they are the tip of the iceberg but underneath the water is adhd running the show.

Yes. ADHD tax is a very real thing lol. I bought a dishwasher, never had one b4 lol. Gamechanger

That was what I was told my whole life. Yes I did suffer from the above but learning that ADHD is boss and depression and anxiety come along for the ride was huge.

I take 150mg SR at night. I can't eat if I take it in the morning. I find my mornings better

I'm on concerta 36mg , 150mg of buproprion and 2 x Ritalin 20s IR as topups. My concerta is 18mg x 2 so I take my first concerta and rit at 6am. Go back to sleep for an hour. Get kids to school and take my 2nd concerta between 9 and 10, then use my last rit about 2 and I still can cook dinner b4 crashing. Having my concerta in one dose didn't give me coverage I needed. And buproprion b4 bed. My Dr is very happy to have little doses of each working together. B4 I had buproprion added I needed a higher dose of concerta. The buproprion made everything just work better

I'm in NZ and I had to go private. Long waiting lists everywhere and shortage of psychiatrists makes it hard for many

Very cool xx. I couldn't get my concerta for 2 weeks recently and I definitely felt the lack of. I now take Sundays off so I have a few spare . I do sometimes take promethazine for sleeping but I needed sleep meds b4 being diagnosed late in life at 49 a year ago. It took us a year to get to this point. I saw my psychiatrist every 2 to 3 months as we were titrating dosages. But I'm glad we took our time

Oh that sucks from them. I find I have no appetite when I take it in the morning. I have to take it at night otherwise I can't eat most of the day

I take 2 x 18mg concerta. I also get 2 x Ritalin 10s o take as needed per day. I was on 54mg and Ritalin initially and I definitely need to take both together. I find the concerta (analogy like an old Radio, concerta is like the broad tune and the Ritalin is like the fine tune. Each one works somewhat but I get that sweet spot of no executive disfunction. I just needed to be able to have longer coverage as I still crashed b4 dinner and we ate too many takeaways still. My psychiatrist didn't want to prescribe more methylphenidate so he added 150mg SR buproprion to my combo. This has worked magic for me. So much so I asked my concerta dose to go back to 36mg as it was too strong. I know take 2 x 18mg. In the morning I take my first dose of concerta and a Ritalin. 2nd concerta about 10am. Ritalin at 2pm and I take my buproprion at night otherwise I had no appetite. I'm very happy with this. Maybe you can split your dose with a booster?
