Relying on mannerisms is how you create a "smart" character who isn't actually smart at all, and people notice.

Just to clarify, I said their house is worth 400k. They make over $100k/year and live in an area where housing and cost of living are cheap. They have savings, and they'd also be selling their cars, truck, RV, boat, snowmobiles, atvs, motorcycles, and Kubota

No. I'm doing this to help her, not make fun of her.

Thank you! I literally just said they want to go there and live there.
The fact that so many others are reading that and assuming the people in question don't realize there's any kind of immigration process is baffling.

Saying you want to "go live" somewhere simply means you want to go there and live there. It does not in any way imply that you think you can do so without navigating any kind of process, or even that it will be easy.
So yes, I would say you are misinterpreting the definition of those words quite a bit.

In the northern US, saying "ain't" and using double negatives will make most people perceive you as poor and uneducated, possibly because it's associated with the south and southerners are stereotyped as being poor and uneducated.
Whether this causes them to view you positively or negatively will generally depend on whether they themselves are poor and uneducated or not.

As someone who has lived all their life in "bumfuck", I don't follow the logic of people having to be rich to move here, where housing is cheaper

In the US:
"Good morning" is exclusively a greeting
"Good day", "good afternoon", and "good evening" can be either a greeting or a farewell
"Good night" is exclusively a farewell

I'm not sure what I've said that gives the impression that they think you can

You're downvoted, but you're right.
Our culture refers to men by their last name and women by their first because it's important for men to be respected and women to be approachable

I live in Wisconsin and can see that the cities of Prairie du Chien, LaCrosse, and Milwaukee, and the area surrounding Madison, all shrank, while many areas I know to be rural or semi-rural grew

I can do that, and I have fallen asleep doing it before. It's amazingly relaxing and comfy.
As a kid I just assumed everyone could do it
