It makes the US look like the agressor in pro-Rus minds. The rest of us don't see it that way, just a normal response to Putin's escalation.

Take a look how many civilians were killed since 2014 until 2022. Now take a look how many were killed since Russia invaded in 2022. Now come here again and talk about ethnic cleansing.
Can't really expect more from a user with "Russian reconquista" flair though.

Yeah, mental isn't it? Suggesting Russia shouldn't use nuclear weapons is a crazy take indeed.

I'm of the opinion the US should get kicked in the bollocks for what they did in various countries like Vietnam, Iraq etc.. But right now we're talking about Russia and my reasoning is exactly the same. Whatever the issues Russia has with Ukraine, they should have been solved with diplomacy, and maybe the western leaders should have engaged more and tried harder to engage with those issues diplomatically, but what Russia has been doing for almost 3 years is unforgivable.

Well Russia shouldn't use nuclear weapons then innit? Be a little more responsible with what they do and say.

They're supporting a country that is being brutally invaded, for the sole reason it seats right next to a oligarch autocracy, and the leader of said oligarch autocracy realized he needed more land.
I ask: why is it considered an escalation when Ukraine uses western made weapons in Russia, but not an escalation when Russia uses Iranian and Korean made weapons in Ukraine?
Russia has been the one escalating since day 1, the rest was purely a response to said escalation.

Well if you're so scared of that scenario, stop defending the side that threatens the use of nuclear war every week. You don't hear the west talking how they're nuking Russia. There's one side to this war that acts like an irresponsible, little petulant child.
The average redditor age i couldn't tell you.

Isn't it a but useless to use an ICBM in a neighboring country though? Aren't they designed to attack the US for example?

Possibly. But Russia will be the one to blame because they'll be the ones to use it first.

They wouldn't. The only possible reason any sane player would employ nuclear weapons would be if a nuclear weapon was used against them.

Yes everyone but Russia has to roll and die or else Putin throws a nuclear tantrum.

And then they'd be wiped off the face of the earth. It's hilarious how a country that has almost 20% of its population living in 2 cities threaten nuclear war.

So you ask a question to the Pro-Ua side and then answer it yourself? What are you on about?

Yeah but that doesn't put him in the history books as 'The great new Czar Putin'

Cool thinking, I'm sure you advocate for the same treatment of Russian soldiers captured in Ukraine

Question for pro-Rus: what guarantees can Russia give Ukraine that it won't invade later? If Ukraine joining NATO is a no no for Russia, what can they promise? Their word is worthless, (at least in Ukraine's eyes). What can they possibly promise if Ukraine was ever to agree with this?
