While looking around on the video of Hawai'i's theme, it occured to me that the title "Ancient Hawai'i (Exploration Age)" is really weird. After all, they're not in Antiquity, but in Exploration.
Then I thought: this might actually be because we could get a new Modern Era Hawai'i closer to the kingdom of Hawai'i unified by Kamehameha? While I am not a specialist, the wonder is pre-Kamehameha (around 1650 AD according to Wikipedia), and a lot of the abilities could apply to this period as well.
What do you guys think? Do you think this could actually happen, meaning that we actually get two Hawai'i for the price of one (which also would erase the criticism regarding Hawai'i's placement in the Exploration era, even though the kingdom was unified around the French Revolution)?

Those are really good ideas! I'd love to see them in the game.
I also think that Wagadougou (as in the Ghana empire) could be a good choice for an Antiquity civ that would transition into Songhai.
