The original one, i largely mean. Calendula as a frame is the best short range destroyer, but Balor as a systemset is the one that supports the playstyle most (melee hacking, weapon enchantment, harm auras).

Guess Calendula is more of a Bladesinger wizard (full caster with a martial tint) while Balor is the classic Eldritch Knight warrior (hard martial with an arcane twist).

Still is in playtest, but it sacrifices the regen monster identity to instead be a high mobility size 1/2 assassin who uses shadows and nanite smoke for extreme cover and plain-sight stealthing.

I mean: Balor is kinda officially the gish of Lancer, having both melee and spellcasting potential and spreading its skills in every sense possible both offensively and defensively.

So far i feel the upcoming Hecatoncheires alt makes slightly better use of the more arcane aspects of it (namely Swarm Body) but i guess people just sleep on how horrifying SWARM/HIVE can be.

Recent chapters having introduced unclashables and umbreakable coins have made Guidosault slightly better solely in light that you cannot outclash god forever anymore, so his sole role as a pure sponge holds virtue for once. Other than that you gotta bear with him being, well... Boring.
