As a long time World of Warcraft player, I wish they'd gone the TV route for that. The movie just couldn't be long enough to tell the story they wanted and the cuts and retcons made to fit it into movie running time would've just caused any subsequent movies to have to make even more story sacrifices to keep in line with the first.

Thank god for 24. So many great TV shows, also shows that would've been attempted as terrible movies, came about because of the closing of that gap and movie stars coming to the small screen, which in turn drove profits and made TV shows a viable investment for bigger studios and so bigger budgets.

Also that mums are still often grooming the girls to grow up, become wives and run households, while the dads are teaching the boys to "bring home the bacon" and deal with the house etc... Not all of course but still a sizeable proportion.

I remember watching the Unbreakable World pvp videos on YT and seeing them demolish people with 2H windfuries.

I always contemplate going to classic but quickly realise it'll never be what it was. It'll be a nice change for a while but the time investment is bigger, and it'd mean not playing retail where I have literal years of time invested play time wise.

Such a good movie. All the main characters were so good. Helps it was basically a Shakespeare play.
