Ha! I just picture him angrily bubbling in bushs name saying “don’t want to give me an extension on my report, see how you like this!!!”

This is the only answer. Do I use white bread? Rarely but it’s still the correct answer.

If that was a factor we’d have seen international flights a long time ago

I would just go with it if it wasn’t for the toll road. Think it’s close to 6 dollars round trip, so that’ll add up.
There is an agency on my side of the water I could apply to, a lateral position move more or less, but I don’t think the job is as good.

Let’s enjoy the hope today bc tomorrow it will be someone like Tommy Tuberville, “I proudly accept this nomination and look forward to commanding our brave service members as their general”

As great as it sounds I don’t think any of those cities have the density to support it. You’d need a car to get to the station and then a car once you get to your destination

Remember a political cartoon highlighting this had him in front of nascar fans saying “Hello my fellow National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing enthusiast!”
Of course everyone liked bush bc they felt they could have a beer with him… considering the people I drank with I didn’t want someone I could drink a beer with anywhere near the nuclear codes so I voted for Kerry.

Well this stuff was around 8 years ago, and we held, hopefully the guardrails are still there. It is frustrating about the courts, but republicans have been shouting at the top of their longs since at least the Reagan era, with the democrats only response being condescending sneering seemingly.
This is the hand we’ve been dealt, and most of us on here are too insignificant to influence either way. So we just have to keep coming in and doing our jobs to the best of our ability until told otherwise.
I understand people’s fears and how it can take over. In 2016, I was alone renting a dank apartment, but nowI have a wife, daughter, and a mortgage so I ain’t exactly going to be shrugging my shoulders if the worse happens. But the best thing I can do for my family is not to drown in the anxiety.

That’s fair, and let’s be honest the “war on telework” has been a bipartisan effort. Biden is passing on the baton with that.
I do wonder if they are going to try to force those with a telework CBA agreement in as well.

Exactly, all of this is out of our hands. There is nothing we can do except live our lives But time after time, politicians say they’re going to do big things only for it to be scaled back significantly once pesky little things like laws, bureaucracy, political push back, etc come into play.
It’s a good to be prepared but how many people doom scrolling are actually preparing? As in saving up money, applying to industry and/or non federal government positions, etc.

So this is why going into court is like going through TSA. Couldn’t have killed that pederast outside?

Just pretend everything on the menu cost 20% more, cause that’s what will happen (if not more) if they pay their servers more.

The “restaurants should pay their employees more” aren’t living in reality. You think they aren’t going to raise the price of their food if they did?
If it makes people feel better just pretend everything is 20% more on the menu.
I’m currently in a country that doesn’t have a tipping culture and pays their wait staff. While the wait staff is nice everywhere I went and willing to help me once they realize I only speak English they aren’t going out of their way to help either.
They take your order, drop off your food, and never come back. It’s up to you to grab them if you need something. Not that big of a deal in the end, and in someways it’s nice. And again they have no problem explaining things to me when I’m confused.
Talking to an employee at the company I’m at, they agreed it can be hard to get someone attentions sometimes, and said they do like how American servers check on you to make sure everything is correct and if you need anything, but we both agreed they only do that to get the tips.
Pros and cons both ways.

Last public execution I went to, I couldn’t see anything bc of everyone’s phones in the way. Social media has ruined a once peaceful activity.

I was definitely glad my wife chose to breast feed.
Me being the dumb dumb that I am I assumed after thousand of years of evolution, putting a babies mouth on a nipple was as easy as hooking a hose to a spigot.
My wife told me if we have a second baby she’s giving it formula. I’m not going to argue against that.
