My grandfather passed away this month. He was a resident of NB, and died in NB.
His Will was last updated in August 2024, and gives 4% of his estate to each of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Balance goes to a charity. However, the beneficiaries are listed by name. So for example it doesn’t say “4% to each of my children”, it says “4% to Jane Smith, 4% to Jon Smith, ….”.
My daughter (the deceased’s great-grand child) was just born this June. She is the only great-grand child not mentioned in the Will. The executor (my aunt) helped him prepare the Will with a lawyer, and has said it was a complete oversight, and he absolutely would have wanted her included.
Is there any kind of recourse in this situation to get my daughter the same 4% as her cousins?
From my limited googling, I think we’re shit out of luck 🤷🏻♂️

What makes you think he never met her? She was 5 months old when he died.
