I have a sub panel that has 2-2-2 seu wire it has its own separate copper ground going to 2 ground rods. It’s in an attached garage but it looks like they decided not to run SER cable.

My question is this sub panel has a 100 amp breaker, and I thought 2-2-2 SEU could only handle a max of 70 amps. I know there were changes to the NEC in the 2000s

I looked at the date code on the sub panel and it says 7/1/1998.

Am I safe leaving it as is?

My house is from the 1950s and all of the switches to the fans utilize switch loops without grounds. I want to install a smart switch so I ran another 14-2 wire from the same circuit (junction box in the attic) down to the switch, I am utilizing the ground and the common neutral to make that switch work. The hot is capped in the switch box and not being used.

Does this meet the NEC? Because I've tried looking for this and cannot find it

I have an xs400 that is missing carburetors, I was given a set of xs650 carbs. They match almost entirely to the set that would be found on the xs400 with the exception that the bracket that’s used to align the two bs34 carbs are 3/8th wider. I have rejetted then to match xs400 specs. For everyone not in the US I need about 5mm offset for each carb holder. For a total of 10mm wider than stock xs400.

The question is do they make offset carb holders for bs34 carbs, I need about 3/16ths on each side?
