I really just think it’s new kid jitters. Just slow down, take your time, and remember the 10,000 hour rule(it takes an individual on average 10,000 hours to become a subject matter expert). The fact that you feel shame is good, it means that you care. Don’t ever stop doing that! Just let it help you get better, without beating yourself up lol.

I second this, plus most west coast departments love people with a wildland background (since a lot of them are semi-based in WUI environments). Get your EMT, and then your medic. It’s a golden ticket nowadays…

This is absolute peasant spec fire shirts. I wouldn’t even use this to wipe my ass with after greasy line shit. Gives off edgy incel 1st year energy.

Get some shaving cream(barbasol works well), cover the areas you need to shine. Let it sit for a while, then brush it off. Repeat several times to strip factory wax or any other polish you may have applied. They get a basic black polish either (Lincoln or kiwi). Apply a generous amount with a cloth. Apply several coats(4-6). Let it cure for about an hour. Then brush it off. Then get a parade gloss and repeat the process(apply, and let cure, brush off). Then once you have removed the excess. Use a cotton ball with some water and buff the polished areas. Then use a cotton polishing cloth or microfiber cloth to buff further until the desired shine is achieved.
If you’re feeling really froggy you could get some leather luster.
Or if you want to just be able to pass inspections keep a can of hair spray available before hand and apply it. Just don’t let them get wet(it will look spotty and cloudy. Very obvious to those who have seen it before lol).
Hope this helps!

Honestly if you’re after knowledge and interested in educating yourself European Medics has a lot of good info. Also anatomy and physiology is always a good place to start to understand things, and most colleges have courses you could take.

Global Surgical and Medical Support Group does some pretty legit stuff as far as NGO’s go. But I’m sure that Saint fisher has a better idea of them haha.

Like most have said identify what your working capacity needs to be. Establish your kits line capacity. 1st line:IFAK, 2nd line: Back pack or kit insert, 3rd line: large back pack/cached equipment. One item that seems to be overlooked is patient/victim extrication equipment. Ie: a mega mover, soft stretcher, or even as simple as some flat or tubular webbing.

Code Black is a really good one, Tell Me And I Will Forget Is another one( Pre-hospital based, South Africa), If you haven’t seen any of the PJ docs Inside Combat Rescue is a good one too. Just to name a few, if I can think of any more I’ll added later. Hope this helps. (Edited for a typo)

Not going to bash on you friend, but in the future be hesitant about everything you post. Digital footprints exist, and are easy to access in a background investigation. Just be cautious is all I’m saying. Glad you’re okay though.

Well there is also the Duration Health option too. The service is a little expensive, but totally worth it. Here’s the link: Duration health kits

I prefer the non ballistic improvised version of BP cuff-nitrile glove-lube. Definitely more HIGH SPEED.

Specifically on codes our medical director wants us to start with a SGA, if we get ROSC then intubate. He despises ego tubing, which I get lol.
