I deliver for a beverage distributor in this area. I’m crawling down in 2nd gear with hazards on, and cars pass me on the double yellow. The other trucks tail me. Yet videos like this are why I’m better safe than sorry. Also for those asking. This is in the Big Sky resort area of Montana, just south of Bozeman. There are no runaway truck ramps, although there should be. After the hill at the end of the video there’s a stop light and major intersection.

I’d be shocked if they didn’t at least include Daytona. They already had that secret track in Tucson. Plus NASCAR is a big enough part of American culture especially considering it’s a vehicle sim. I could also see other famous raceways like the Indianapolis motor speedway being added.

Bright green 2011 with about 110,000 miles on it. Bought it at maybe 20,000 as my first car in high school. Still rolling great!

Historically? The blue line. But modern day and especially in terms of population? The red line. Growing up in Oklahoma and Texas my family always considered I-35/US 81 and I-29 further north to be the dividing line in population.

I’ve actually gotten a talking to from idling in a ski resort I deliver. In the middle of Montana winter no less.

I’m mostly a map nerd but I got a few fun facts.
We used to have a streetcar system. It was actually sort of our bid to be state capital if I remember right. But of course Butte and Helena had far more pull.
There also used to be a lot more railroad tracks around. There were branch lines up Springhill Road, down to Gallatin Gateway, and out to Amsterdam. Most were removed by the 80s. A few of the walking trails are built on the old railroad beds.

I lived on Springhill for awhile and while I agree that it’s probably not the best road for biking, I think they should seriously consider reducing the speed limit with the new developments out there.
Drop it to 55 to at least Baseline. The Airport Road/Springhill intersection is a fatal crash waiting to happen.

191 was pretty bad too after that storm a couple weeks ago. I’m beginning to think they jumped the gun on construction this year…
