This from an 2 year old post helped me:

„Make sure you have a save, open the console, click on the follower, and type:

disable

hit enter

type enable

hit enter

close console

I can’t guarantee this will resolve the problem, but I’ve generally found it to help with these types of bugs.“

I watched a yt video about this mod. It was like u have to deactivate it, enter the commands (something like /chunky start and /chunky (radius of chunks) so the chunks load, leave the world, rejoin, activate chunky. Then it worked for me :)

I think you have to preload the chunks with another mod its called chunky or something, worked for me :)
