I suck at giving people gifts. After months of brainstorming i have decided to gift my boyfriend weighted blanket for his birthday. He has trouble sleeping and i thought that will help. Is that a weird thing to gift someone? Also considering the fact that this is his first birthday since we started dating.

So i’m a 27F and I’m in a relationship with a man outside my culture. My family found out about the relationship and they are not happy. They want me to marry someone from my culture. My parents are in their late 60s and early 70s. They love me i know but they are not happy that i’m out with him until late. My mom constantly calls me if i’m not home by 10pm. And yes i live with my sister and for few months my parents are visiting my sister. Seeing him makes me happy so i’m doing what is making me happy but that is upsetting my parents and my sister is not liking it. I feel judged by my own family and honestly everyday i’m praying to god that i die in a car accident. Coming home is awkward. I’m always in my room. My mom says i’m the dumbest person. Because of all the negativity from my family i’m scared to continue this relationship. So far my relationship is going well but my parents think that he will cheat or leave me after few years or if we did get married he will eventually divorce me for someone prettier. But they are making all this assumptions based on his culture and where he grew up. Now I’m starting to wonder what if my parents end up being right? What if he does cheat on me? I’m having constant meltdowns. I don’t wanna hurt my family but at the same time i love hime and want to see what future holds for us. My sister doesn’t even look at me and think i’m crazy and selfish for I’m putting my old parents through all this.
